Its a pretty bad look at this point for the most prestige team in the comp to not be putting enough stock in female racing to think it worthy of having one on their team..

There was an interview with Sacki sometime around the release of the latest n greatest Reverb where he related Sram asking him for a post and he mistakenly thought there was the potential for a licensing arrangement. Turns out it was for reverse engineering purposes to find a way to circumvent his patents. Sure it happens and woe for assuming, but not even paying for the thing is a poor showing.

Easy in principle as you need some kind of motor/actuator pushing the interface of the post, some electronics to do the communication, a remote and some way for the two to communicate. What that means is you need to handle the mechanics of the actuator. A motor, some geartrain, something to press the thing in the post. You need a battery and some way to charge it. I know this isn't the conspiracy thread but I have a feeling that many brands are secretly happy with the new World Cup format. The big teams have less competition and the small ones might secretly be excited to be able to say "Oh Shucks, we will have to disband given these new constraints." I am sure that many people at these companies want to continue the team, but World Cup team budgets must have been feeling pressure in the last year or two. Heartbreaking news on GT. My son's first bike hookup and "support" was from GT. They are such a tight-knit crew (the actual people that work there). My 1st MTB was a brand new 1987 GT Avalanche Elite (the bike I'm on in my profile pic) that cost me $680 and I had to finance most of it at over 10% interest as a dumb 18yr old dude. I loved that bike and just recently donated it to a good home. GT will always have a special place in my heart and I hope they can return at some point in time.
