Took the below photo of Asa's bike with what I think is a prototype TRP caliper, cant recall if its been posted before apologies if it has.

Came across this on Loic’s bike from Les Gets. It looks like the sub-chamber from a push 9.1 modified to fit the Öhlins dh38? I know it’s been rumoured that Loic runs a coil fork, so interesting if he’s play with the sub-chamber on a coil fork now too.

I think so yeah. I always kind of laughed at the overheating comments because I feel like riders will worry about that so heavily to write it off, then they go ride their Specialized Enduro with 18 of the 20 bearings notching and a lightly blown coil but still enjoy their ride to some degree. (Nothing against people that ride an Enduro, just jabbing at the insane number of bearings to worry about)

has scott finally learnt, you can hide the shock etc but putting cables through the headset kills sales.... I wouldve owned the genius/ransom but they had to put a plastic ring with headset routing... yeah no, no plastic in headsets thanks.

From ESMTB/MTBR - Fox seems to be testing new neo suspension for XC this week. No caliper sensors to be seen, battery placement on the bottom of the leg of the fork. I'm more interested in seeing more wild loose and fast guys like Nathan Pontivane racing. He doesn't speak English so I haven't seen much media coverage about him but he is the type of rider that the series needs more of. Too many of the stylish riders like Kade and Phil Atwill have left the World Cup scene and it's been a loss. This sounds interesting, especially the last part about Shimano! Maybe I'm just extrapolating from my own preferences here, but I feel that most MTBers who have been in the sport for a while thought the previous-gen Bosch motors were already powerful enough, and that they'd rather have the lightest possible motor + battery package at that power level than even more power and bigger batteries.

I was told no new Enduro until at least 2027, I figured it was going to be a Sea Otter release given most companies wouldn’t want to release a bike in the dead of Winter in the US. Did anyone else working at a Specialized dealer get any “When’s the new Enduro coming out?” stickers? My rep claimed he made them, but I’ve never gotten a single piece of swag from that dude in 10+ years, so it made me skeptical that Specialized was drumming up a very slow marketing campaign. Considering the seeming pullback of the enduro category and adoption of ebikes this would surprise me. Color me interested, would love to see sales numbers for specialized or another big company

Couple insights Yeti MT coming very soon. Some shops already have them New Specialized enduro coming. My guess is march/april 2027. Apparently specialized believes it will sell better than the stumpy 15 which was one of there best selling bikes. No clue on design, just being told it’s coming

I imagine a Danny hart will have fewer options but still have options. Who’s more likely to sell a bike Danny or one of the Griffith brothers? Gwin or the fourth rider male rider on a stacked team. Combine that with his track record of professionalism and there’s a role for him somewhere. But anyone who doesn’t have a high level of fandom. Cause if it’s purely about results then I’m sure the math on signing multiple youths and paying for their devolopment is a lot more rewarding than trying to get consistent results in finals from a former top...

So back to team rumors... The Downtime Les Gets pre-race podcast had a bit of discussion about teams wanting to sign up and coming juniors, leaving riders towards/at the end of their career with few options. They didn't mention names, but I'm sure we can guess who might be in this bucket. Danny Hart jumps to mind first. Who else?

I said " we haven't seen a long travel single crown 32" fork yet," and I can see how that might have been unclear. What I meant to communicate was "Gee, that black RSU fork sure doesn't look like a Fox 32 or Neko's crazy loctite Fox 40, which are the only 32" Fox forks we've seen so far. I wonder what RSU fork that is. It sure looks like a Fox, and it could even be a dedicated long travel single crown 32" fork from Fox, which would be newsworthy because 32" bikes and products from the big brands...
