Holy hell, what a season! So stoked for Jackson to deliver under immense pressure and for Marine to quietly continue kicking ass. Amazing to see Dak at the very pointy end of things and Americans taking 3 of the top 5 spots at MSA!!! It's been the best season for Maxxis that I can remember during my decade and a half with the brand. We had 13 Elite wins out of a possible 20 available and 4 World Champs medals including a podium sweep of the Elite Men's category. Start adding in Junior results and those from enduro and it...

Don't think anyone who saw Meier Smith (even before he signed at Giant) didn't think he'd win a World Cup. Hindsight being 20/20, there was an edit of him hitting a park in Australia few years back I immediately thought he would win World Cups. There is something about his combo of power & reaction time that is unmistakable. Think he'd won sooner, but like so many others, he took a few monster injuries that "delayed" his 1st win. Also...let's shout out to our Vital member @Sugarbrad on his World Cup winning mechanic skills! Not often the forums have a...

Rick said Andy Kolb has a ride signed for next year, saw him talking to Tony Seagrave. I'll take that as near confirmation until the comics come out. When are we getting the comics?

K, checked all the race sheets... On the topic of the brutality of Q1/Q2 this year. There is a pretty insane stat. Valentina Roa Sanchez sat on the bubble FOUR times this year. Second worst go of it was Zoe Fayolle, three times on the bubble. MSA just now actually put some more riders on the list of twice on the season, these names include Bodhi Kuhn, Jacob Jewett, Stefano I, Matilda Melton, Jenna Hastings (brutal back to back), Frida Ronning (also B2B i think), and Finn Iles! Q1/Q2 has been SAVAGE to the elite Canadian Men... Biggest upsets of...

I'd put Danny Hart as the biggest name to miss finals, only because he has missed more than he has made. I think we've really seen the pace rise this year and former winners have, over a whole season, been left wanting. Charlie Hatton, Danny, Finn (injury related), Matt Walker, Reece Wilson (injury related) all have been totally eclipsed by some new names at the top of the sheets

Really need to give huge kudos to Dak for the season he's having, he's no spring chicken, coming back from huge injury and he's sending it. I don't usually pull for a rider but I'm rooting for a big result from him, therefor I have deleted him from my fantasy team.

Congrats to Jacko, Vali and all the Riders for a wonderful World Cup. I dont know if the powers that be ever read Vital - i do hope so, but in any case I'm gonna leave It out there: WBD and the UCI have to come up with some sort of symbol or sign for the Overall Winners to wear...

The Avinox is clearly a nice unit, but I view the Bosch as much quieter (only motor that disconnects when freewheeling), free-er pedaling when power is off, has built in bash ring protection where-as the DJI motors need the 245 gram E13 bash ring, has better weight distribution, more service options and importantly more efficient. There are also some that feel the torque sensing is lacking on the DJI. It would appear that the DJI is about 20% less efficient than the Bosch, even when power is equalized. That means on a meters climbed per watt, the Bosch is actually...

Goat Skull is on the flatter side for a DH race course. I could picture Richie's pedal and pumping power being a weapon on this track. Either way I'm stoked for both of them.

I think Dakotah was really overcome when he realized he'd just won. It's been a tough year for him, to put it mildly. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DPHumgfD89F/?hl=en

A few quick notes on US Open and Monster Energy Pro Downhill Series: - Dakotah now has three wins and one 2nd place finish in the last 4 US Opens. - Kailey Skelton won the Series overall by just 4 points, with Mayleigh Leaneagh taking second. Kailey won 3 of the 5 Series races this year. - Aaron Gwin won the men's Series overall by 12 points (215 to 203) over Dante Silva. Five different men won races this season. (I don't know if they give a cash prize for winning the overall.)

Impressive for Dak to win on that track after the injury. Definitely shows how good he is at generating speed from bike inputs. Should go a long way for his renovation goals. Both on and off the bike with that 15 k.
