There was an interview with Kolb in German about his new contract with the syndicate and to me it was almost as if he was dancing on raw eggs to not say the name Greenland when talking about his new team mates and how he is looking forward to ride with them. I took this as a sign that Greenland will not ride for SC in 2026.

Their enduro team was done last year but they graciously kept me on board for this year with my contract having another year on it. Sounds obvious of course, but the bike industry isn't always so giving. The DH team took me in and I had a blast all year long, which was the main reason for doing DH at the end of the year. I just wanted to hang out with the team some more, and who wouldn't take the chance to race World Cup DH while they can. As for next year, stay tuned.

This is disappointing. I don't know why companies insist on taking their iconic logos and brand recognition and then throwing them in the trash. If it ain't broke then don't fix it! I will miss that iconic Ö and the yellow and blue (swedish colors).

Dak to Axess NP would make my season

I’d bet intense was less than 15% of the funding for that team. Joe put a lot into developing axxess or whatever his program is. Tons of other sponsors, many that aren’t super mainstream, which usually means a bit more budget. They were in intense cause Joe helped develope that bike and didn’t wanna let it go as soon as the bike was actually good. Just keep the dual crowns on tbf. The major thing about DH bikes isn't that they necessarily pedal bad, it's that they don't accommodate dropper posts a lot of the time. Combine a regular dh bike with the ability to run a dropper and some ever so slightly more conservative geo, then you're on to a winner. People won't care that it weighs a ton when they're riding the bike equivalent of a shire horse.

If we compare your post to mine, I think it can be said that the dislikes came from your point about enduro not being relevant. If I had to guess I would say that enduro racing has become less relevant, but I feel that the core riding style of pedaling bikes up to the tops of DH tracks has never been more relevant. Maybe we can look at the downcountry trend as the advent of riding categories that transcend the racing categories that birthed them. Tying back to the upcoming WC changes — I absolutely love watching DH racing at every level: World Cups, Hardline, Monster Series, Crankworx, you name it. I’m a big fan of having Juniors included in the WC. They make for great viewing — watching guys like Tyler Waite, Oli Clark, the Alrans, and Asa absolutely send it has been so good. I would love to see Dak with FW. I think there is a decent chance he heads to Intense. Honestly would love to see him leave Mondraker (no reason). I hope Specialize puts some female riders on the team. Pivot needs a serious refresh. I hope BK has a great season but even if he did they need more. Norco also needs a team refresh too.
