Hi all, I'm the 'Gosling' being referenced in the Bikeradar article. I had meetings in Les gets with five teams, YT being one and I'll start by saying that Gunnar Franke (Team Manager) is one of the best guys in the pits running a great team with awesome riders and staff. However we (Nukeproof) don't have the budget to go from 'no team' to one of the best, and highest budget teams in the pits when today we are not even selling any bikes. I also feel that we are not the type of brand that wants or needs one...

I think it's less dropping Dak, more not giving him as much as either Dak hoped for or making some budget for Ronan and Pinky. I have a world of respect to Dak, especially on his comeback journey, and I think he can contend for the win - but put on Mondraker's hat and think about the 3 elite male riders you have : 1. Ronan - Got a win this year, rides crazy (good views), young, redbull helmet, not consistent. 2. Pinky - Pretty consistent in the final top 10, young, has potential, still transitioning into elite imo 3...

Let me tell you something about Pivot, they definitely have the money to support a strong DH/Enduro team. Their bikes are great, and the Phoenix is selling really well. I actually had to wait eight months for my frame because my dealer told me they’re prioritizing full builds. And this season, I saw a lot of Phoenix V5s at the bike parks. BK might be the official owner of the team, but I’m pretty sure Pivot has a say when it comes to signing riders. Most of the team struggled with injuries this year, and Bora Bora was their top...
