10/17/2025 4:05am Let me tell you something about Pivot, they definitely have the money to support a strong DH/Enduro team. Their bikes are great, and the Phoenix is selling really well. I actually had to wait eight months for my frame because my dealer told me they’re prioritizing full builds. And this season, I saw a lot of Phoenix V5s at the bike parks. BK might be the official owner of the team, but I’m pretty sure Pivot has a say when it comes to signing riders. Most of the team struggled with injuries this year, and Bora Bora was their top...

10/17/2025 3:59am i wonder how much influence the fully tuned team ohlins suspension makes on this result, also things like what brakes are the testers most used to.

10/16/2025 3:15am As the parent (and primary financial sponsor) of a younger racer... I've consistently tried to get my son to prioritize finding a wheel sponsor. My worst experience was him blowing up a rim during practice at Glorieta enduro a couple of years back and biting the bullet for Rocky Mountain Wheelworks to build up a FR541 for race day and thinking, "Sure, I had to pay for it... but at least he's got something bombproof on, now." Then him denting that wheel and flatting when forced offline due to overtaking a racer who wouldn't pull over in a rock garden...

10/16/2025 3:13am Just wanted to chime in, and I know I’ve said this here before, but this is one of the hardest parts of being a privateer. Hard to fly halfway across the world with five spare wheels, let alone have them set up and waiting in the car park with rotors, cassettes, and tires mounted. Being able to confidently obliterate wheels in practice with no consequences is a pretty huge advantage when practice time is so limited. The alternative to spare wheels is running too much tire pressure (which obviously sucks) or riding gingerly (which kind of defeats the whole point).

10/16/2025 3:12am Season ending rankings. Atherton is sitting 21st and would move to 20th with YT going away. Couldn’t grab the point totals but Norco is 2 points back of Commencal for 11th which could become 10th and a 2 year spot.

10/16/2025 3:11am Thanks for the question. Long story short if the rim is unsafe to ride, it's immediately retired and the hub is re-laced to a new rim. I also have to consider the massive loss of time if I send my rider up on a rim I'm not 100% confident in. Not only do we lose a practice run, but it takes me 40-50 min for one wheel build(including taping and insert/tire mounting). I could easily be halfway through a fresh wheel build in the time it takes my rider to do one practice run so if I have any doubt...

10/15/2025 2:14pm You guys might get a kick out of this. I was checking the live timing for the Lake Placid Q2 and was so psyched to see this. My first thought was, "How great would it be if they're all in the finals?" followed by "Minnaar must be loving this." So, I immediately took a screen shot, figuring it would be cool to post it that day. Still, despite how it turned out, it's a good memory.

10/14/2025 12:43pm 4 riders...I stopped counting at 13. LMS only did 5 all week, but I've got some secret sauce to keep air in the wombat's tires😉. Point being that it's the nature of the track.

10/13/2025 12:57pm It's sad reading nonsense like this. The same wheels won him a World Cup a few weeks ago. Mondraker on the same wheels got 4th & 5th in this race. Mondraker runs the same tires as all 3 of the men's overall podium.
