Fazua doesn't really bother me anymore. I have over 700 miles on mine and its still ticking. It did arrive dead out of the box and in the US, QBP handles the service and they are wonderful. I don't think they are as bad as they used to be. Plus, power to weight wise they are really hard to beat. I would love for a manufacture to work on making a motor that is the size and weight of the Fazua that would make 80-85nm instead of working on making a million-nm motor.

The reviews of the new SR suntour forks puts them right up there with the two big players for performance, plus they are designed for ease of maintenance for the consumer. I have a 2026 Rux on my downhill sled and i have absolutely zero complaints on performance, finish, or customer service. It’s a shame more big brands aren’t doing suntour builds as “budget” options, price for performance they are a great, quite literally half the price of a new boxxer.

I was in the camp of thinking Orbea made a mistake not speccing the TQ HPR60 motor but now having watched Schroeder's video I can see the benefits and purity of experience that the HPR 40 motor offers. The idea of having a bike that climbs like an XC bike but can charge DH and give a good pedaling workout is perfect. Race team vibe im here for. Brage just doesn’t do it for me. The metal, the vibe, the approach turns me off. Riding is mental but the style is not there for me - I’m sure I’ll get torched for this take but it’s just how I feel. Tippe is the same…we get it, you’re that guy. Why would EXT let people butcher their products at home. Very few people can even set up suspension correctly let alone have the tools and brains to maintenance these.

I think Gwin is a smart man. I don't think he'd race if he didn't think he had a chance to win. I think he as 2 seconds off the win a couple races last season and he admitted that he only rode his bike for racing. He probably feels like if he was to put 100% into it he has a good shot.

1/15/2026 9:22pm Honestly I like the feel of electronic shifting, but the cost is insanely high. For the same money you could buy a really good rear wheel, which at least in my opinion would have a much bigger impact on the overall riding experience.

I highly doubt amflow will stay popular unless they release a different bike soon. The motor/battery is good, but the bike itself is a stumpjumper knockoff from temu. I was not impressed with the one I tried. It's laughable that they're priced higher than a forbidden e druid (which is a much, much better bike). The teewing flux also looks vastly superior in terms of geo and kinematics to the amflow, but we will see how their production quality and detail work gets on.
