5/31/2025 7:51am Some big names at risk / already out in Q2.. The new system is way more interesting than I expected when they first announced it!

5/30/2025 9:42am You clearly haven’t ridden them. The only brake that might outperform them is the Maxima. Way more power than my Tech 4 V4s or the MT7s I had before.

5/30/2025 9:41am The bike industry is full of things that scream poor design and manufacturing. It's far from a SRAM specific problem.

5/27/2025 12:56am What's extra sick about that Andorra video is that these guys are fierce competitors...but they have no issue riding together, pushing each other on, and in doing so, potentially "giving up" some of their own advantage. I realize it's not that cut and dry, and that they are still just cruising here, but regardless...there are not that many elite level sports where you'd see this. Mountain biking rules.

5/26/2025 6:39pm It's funny because, spray paint the 'jump markers' pink or red, and none of this is an issue. Like if you wanna get rid of tape, for whatever reason, sure go for it. But if your replacement is... Well, dogshit. At least put in the lowest common denominator effort to make it easier on riders and viewers. If dangerous rocks are painted pink for visibility, 'jump markers' (if thats what they are) should also be painted pink and represent potential danger (aka, GAP!).

5/17/2025 3:54pm Bruni hate for not wanting a mudder which introduces a bunch of randomness is unjustified. People are allowed to have their favourite conditions. I disagree with him on the protected rider status though, I think that change is a vast improvement. They get 2 chances to get to final now, vs having to do well twice in a row to get through like last year.

5/11/2025 10:57am It’s wild how tight it is! It’s great for Booker, but I can’t help but feel bad for Lukasik. That’s the second round that he’s missed the top step by less than half a second. Last year in Poland he was off by 0.095! In both instances, that’s got to be just one tap of the brakes, one missed pedal stroke, or being an inch off line and clipping a rock that slows you down just the tiniest amount. It’s really kind of mind blowing!

5/8/2025 1:27am i'll drop some official announcements soon with prizes etc , but like last year, the actual games don't turn on until the official start lists for the race are available. we build the games from only riders that are competing. so that usually means the weds afternoon or thursday morning of the race weekend (May 14 or 15 in the case of Poland). games always stay open until after qualifying, so there's plenty of time to set up your picks. stoked!

5/7/2025 2:49pm This video is definitely a bit of a storm in a teacup, it has to be said. First of all, there is no air exchange between the main positive air spring and the ramp up chamber (they are separated by a piston), so even if you were to get things completely wrong, you could just pump up the ramp up chamber again and be back to square one. If you run the ramp up chamber super low you just end up with a very linear fork - similar to running no tokens in a classic set-up. Second, there is typically...

5/6/2025 12:52pm What's amazing with this design is that Canyon have decided a single pivot is good enough to control the axle path, braking behaviour and pedalling behaviour but the leaverage rate requires a 6 bar linkage and all the additional complexity and hardware associated with that.

10/30/2024 3:41am Agree on the pad issue. Not switching them all to metalic pads seems very odd. I'm far from the most experienced rider but if someone asked me to do a "break comparison" i'd be putting same sized rotor and pads on everything.

10/30/2024 3:41am Some real strange testing protocols, the main one being testing Hayes with semi-metallic, Shimano with resin and the rest with metallic. You'd think you'd go through all that trouble of using Brake-Ace to draw measurable comparisons you'd at the least run the same ballpark compound (Hayes even includes metallic pads in the box, Shimano metallic pads are easily had). Ideally you'd have just gotten a pair Galfer/Sinter/MTX pads for all brakes where possible. Not sure how the Hayes brakes gets a 7 for bleed procedure. It has literally the same bleed procedure as SRAM (to the point where I use...

10/27/2024 3:49pm Anyone who criticises Berrecloth after that video is just stupid. Even if you believe yourself to be a better Rampage judge than him, the fact he’s there measuring all the drops and looking at the exposure, and taking these things and more into consideration - you’d have to be unbelievably arrogant to suggest you can do a better job judging than him when watching in compressed 1080p on YouTube. No one on the internet would have the gall to tell Marvin E Goldstein his judgement is wrong, and these top freeriders who’ve competed at Rampage are as proficient in their...

10/15/2024 6:26am I feel like semenuks oppo whip lillypad drop thing is being very under stated - debatably the most technical and precise move of the whole event? It probably ticked off every judging criteria 10/10. In the end the Top 4 were all amazing runs, could have gone either way.
