And I mean this just for engagement during the race, it's more fun when you have more fantasy riders to root for. Currently to get a team of 4+ elites, you are mostly taking underdogs. Haven't done any maths on whether more-mid works out better than a few top riders.

Hardtail guy is Marcin Matuszny, he's a big organizer in the Polish DH and Freeride scene. Riding the HT is his thing, it's not about affording something else it's just what he chooses to ride. That's cool, but I'm not a fan of putting that on a track with elite riders racing for a living at double his pace.

I'm all for innovation in DH and I am absolutely fine with electronics in suspension but I strongly believe that ABS has no place in competitive DH.
