Bet big on Lachie, so that rear wheel explosion hurts! Somehow didn't lose that many positions. I like that the budget+cost no longer favours a bunch of underdogs, but I do wish we could afford 2 top males and 2 top females + juniors. And I mean this just for engagement during the race, it's more fun when you have more fantasy riders to root for. Currently to get a team of 4+ elites, you are mostly taking underdogs. Haven't done any maths on whether more-mid works out better than a few top riders.

is that that bio-degradable potato based eco friendly organic grass fed neon paint orrr? or is it more of a chalk... feel like just having tape on hand for very confusing sections should be logical. also how is that marking gonna hold up to... rain?

Wouldn't it be more of a 'math game' and not luck based if there were... Less riders? With more riders you have more chances to succeed, as well as more chances to fail. Overall it increases variety. And that's made clear when first place dude had 16 riders and the dudes just below him had rosters of 12 and 11. With some people picking race winners and others avoiding winners and stacking mid range riders. No math can account for falls and flats, rather abundant this round. If you picked Rosa Marie Jensen because she qualified 2nd and was the...

I came here to share the delight of my inner twelve year old as a result of the gratuitous zoom in on male genitals for EVERY SINGLE RIDER. Has there ever been a more high profile dick drawing broadcast around the world ? Probably , but good on ya lads Also , I beat Asa once… to the top of a hill on our local paved river trail in Durango …. Because I was on my townie e bike and he was chatting with a friend on regular bike . Take the wins you can get gents

Whoever suggested "ask the riders what to expect from them this season" needs to be canned. Quite possibly the worst and most pointless question one can conceive to ask an athlete. Literally only one answer. Provides NOTHING to anyone, the athlete, the production, the audience. In between that and the commentating (not being there?) I can't believe it's somehow gotten worse. I'll take Carlsons ghoulies at this point...

Dude they’re not there. The commentary team for Warner Bros Discovery is not on site! They’re not fucking there! MB just said he can hear how windy it is on the feed. I’m more clued in than these dudes. How embarrassing.

Again in the Women Elite race with those comments - how is the producer not getting in his ear about that? I didn’t think we could take a step back in the commentating but so far this broadcast has a lot of room for improvement.

The hard tail just magnifies the situation. Asa, Tyler and the Alran’s shouldn’t have been seeded that far back. When Jackson and Jordan came out of Juniors they were placed just behind the top elites, not sure what’s changed in the rule books.

Hardtail guy is Marcin Matuszny, he's a big organizer in the Polish DH and Freeride scene. Riding the HT is his thing, it's not about affording something else it's just what he chooses to ride. That's cool, but I'm not a fan of putting that on a track with elite riders racing for a living at double his pace.

I want more of a mtb feel. Not interested in pedal throttle. At all. Did that last week in SantaCruz and felt like a douche (not that DJI people are, just how I felt)on a bike I was trying. I was going to buy a new Crestline but decided no, rather ride my Relay as long as it is working! Or until some real mtb company builds something similar but better.

I wrote this on Pinkbike but will crosspost here to as I firmly believe ABS should not be involved in WCDH. I'm all for innovation in DH and I am absolutely fine with electronics in suspension but I strongly believe that ABS has no place in competitive DH. Braking ability and threshold braking are massively important skill that do separate riders. Having a system that would theoretically allow a rider to just full pull brake but not lock the wheels would be a huge advantage on most tracks and certainly would for low grip tracks or conditions. Formula One as...

Oh come on SRAM, ditching Shimano I get but us Race Face crank fanbois are innocent bystanders! I guess my gen 1 Race Face OChain will be holding it's value at least. Not a total tragedy I suppose as Race Face has yet to release any cranks under 160mm.

Why would a thicker rotor reduce lever travel? That is not how brake calipers work.

2.2 instead of 2.3 eh? Leave it to Shimano to react to industry trends… but not quite.

game closes a few hours before finals, so AFTER qualis. note the timer at the upper left of vital pages - closing is around 5pm Friday PST IIRC. the consensus was to leave it like we always have in that regard.

Although, I am on 3 bolt, that is still lame about losing Shimano/Race Face models. An obvious for why but still a bummer to lots. Mega stoked to hear increased sealing and longevity between rebuilds. That was a gripe that I was happy to deal with and now is getting better. Honestly, I am just pumped it's so easy to get a rebuild kit now. Minus the fact any older or other model is SOL sourcing a rebuild kit... hope those can still be found! Interested by what the Shimano guys like JG will do and also about how he...
