Thanks mate! The Hayes lever feel is certainly addictive. They make SRAM feel super stiff and Shimano's rather sloppy/a bit cheap (except for maybe XTR) which has a bearing). Bigger brake + smaller thicker rotors > small brakes and bigger rotors IMO (you then always have the option to run more rotor in standard sizes + less rotor warp/weight/brackets). The 1.95mm Hayes rotors are great but IMO every brake benefits from thicker rotors as brakes always feel worse (more lever throw) nearer end of pad life/more piston advanced). Trickstuff uniquely do 2.05mm (2.3mm's won't fit easily), both in heavy duty...

Super tidy Element, love the mottled green with the tan-wall tires! Love to see some serious brakes on a 120mm bike. The Dominion A4/Galfer pad/Trickstuff rotor combo sounds pretty trick -- I've mostly run stock Hayes rotors and pads but starting to branch out to some other options.

Great feedback! I am a size L glove, so maybe the Wax's will be the move, I like a 32mm diameter grip. It's interesting, cuz Paul Aston is exactly the opposite on the Outliers: he swears by the Pendulum for gravity and the Void for regular trail riding. But you guys fully agree about push-ons! I will have to dip my toe in at some point because I love the Outlier concept. I have a hardtail set up for pedally trail riding, so whatever doesn't work on the enduro rig can be handed down to the hardtail. I'll just have...

Big Paul Aston fan so I also agree with him (ran them on the big travel bike and also amazing). I think his recommendation may come more down to how much you're taking your feet off the pedals (Void's win in that department), where many like to dab lots/dirt jump etc on their shorter travel rigs. I'm a feet on pedals sort of rider so it's a non-factor for me. If I could get 150mm cranks (instead of 160mm as the shortest) I likely would have got Pendulums for the eMTB big-travel rig too (it's more that I notice the...

Cheers mate! Stoked on it. It's saving my gravel bike from the arguably unfair abuse I'd been putting it through on proper MTB trails. I'd say the Pendulums even better on short travel/less plush bikes as the dropped axle "auto-dipped-heel-on-impacts" feature makes up for the lesser sag/glued down feeling you inherently get from bigger bikes. I recently listened to a podcast on Blister with Outlier (Cam) who said the same thing (which was rather validating). I loved how easy it is to service these pedals, literally 1 second to remove the axle from the body) I got the Void's for...

Oh wow, Pendulums on a DC rig! How's that going for you?

I'm strongly considering them for a Banshee Titan. May also consider those Longneck push-ons when new grip time comes.

Fantastic build btw; great inspiration for when I can finally add a short-travel to the quiver.

Thanks mate! For 12sp you can jumble to your hearts content with regards to shifter/derailleurs. If being super pedantic matching the shifter to cassette is optimal but otherwise only slightly narrows your window of "shifting well". I run the inverse on the eMTB due to bad cable routing path (SRAM AXS with everything else Shimano). For mechanical, prefer everything Shimano (for HG+ chain/cassette, double shift shifter, cranks on a BB92 frame) except for the RD (Prefer SRAM: cage lock, no-maintenance clutch, stronger parallelogram/body from impacts).

Clean. I like it. The shifter/RD threw me though, I didn't know those played well together!
