12/30/2025 4:31am I vote heavy duty oven cleaner, so much easier to polish if you dont scratch it up by grinding the anodizing off. And the only way to get in tight spaces. You can fill thread holes with grease so it doesn't eat away at those, but be sure the surfaces you want to strip are really degreaser. Spray it, let it sit for 10 minutes and give it a rinse to see what you got. Then dry and repeat as needed. Some stuff with heavier machining marks takes a few more soakings. Scotch brite can finish off stubborn spots, or...

11/6/2025 7:40am I had to come back to this. As someone with no ‘formal’ training in branding, but someone who pays close attention and thinks about it a lot, I find it interesting how big marketing firms (I’m assuming Öhlins paid an outside firm) are often so far behind actual trends in certain spaces. At absolute best they ride just behind the crest of a wave and they are definitely never out front. This rebrand might’ve fit better in a more tech oriented arena, but mtb (at least historically, maybe e-bikes will change this) draws way more influence from places like skateboarding...

10/27/2025 11:28pm A telescoping fork can't react very well to brake-induced weight transfer on its own, so if this is set up correctly you shouldn't have to worry as much about brake dive when tuning the fork. I don't know how much of a benefit that might be and presumably the pivot locations and arm lengths need to be tuned to the rider. My thoughts: interesting.

10/27/2025 12:43am Two years ago, I would have called you crazy, but having had some prefrontal cortex development and a few MTB-related operations, it's terrifying to see a couple dozen incredible human beings (some of whom haven't even reached adulthood) put themselves at incredible risk for arguably not a lot of reward. I genuinely think we are reaching the limits of what the human body (and equipment) can do in many disciplines, and the recent injuries to these high-profile athletes are an unfortunate reminder of that. Something has to change, I don't know what that is, but I do know I won't...

4/6/2025 4:05am Watched a guy at the Monster Pro DH in Cat 1 snap his top tube ripping through a 90 degree berm. Irony being he didn’t realize it. I heard it clear as day & was telling people around me “I just heard his bike snap”. He hits the 3 flat hucks Neko built to “break test frames” & on the 3rd one the down tube made a crunch sound & that was it. Said he’s had it for 2 weeks. JRA !

2/20/2025 7:26am In France, so different market, but not too different story occuring on the online marketplaces. I just sold my Giant Reign e-bike bought for 6k in 2023 with 2 batteries, sold for 2.8k with both batteries. Bike went in 2 weeks, I looked on the local equivalent of craigslist, people were trying to sell their 2020 version for 3-4k for months, so I asked for the same price as the lowest 2023 bike I could see, knowing mine was in better condition and got 3 offers, sold at asking price. I think some sellers have a distorted view of their...

2/13/2025 11:07am It'd be interesting but time consuming to repeat this test but with increasing weights from 1-20kg I'd have thought that deflection vs weight will plot a curve. My instinct would be that steel would be a lot more linear than carbon or aluminium and so the differences would be more pronounced at lower weights before converging somewhere at a higher weight.
