" it will have second and third order impacts we all aren't willing to stomach." Don't threaten us with a good time. Also who exactly is this "we"?

It'd be interesting but time consuming to repeat this test but with increasing weights from 1-20kg I'd have thought that deflection vs weight will plot a curve. My instinct would be that steel would be a lot more linear than carbon or aluminium and so the differences would be more pronounced at lower weights before converging somewhere at a higher...
Is brake jack not an unavoidable result of having a heavy spinning mass at the end of the swingarm come to a total or partial halt? That torque has to go somewhere and without having a massive flywheel it'll have to be absorbed by the shock. I've got a Murmur as it happens and my feeling is that brake jack...

Also the whole point of this stuff - from the brands' perspectives anyway - is not to have a race winner. It's to sell bikes. ALL this stuff is done so companies can sell bikes. If Specialized could push ONE rider off a cliff to their deaths but would then sell every bike they could make for the next 10 years, they'd start with Loic because he's the most expensive rider...and probably throw Finn off, too, just in case they found a loophole and sacrificing a second rider gives them an extra 10 years of sales. Jackson doing well at...

Someone give Sven Martin the budget to deploy 6 squids across the EDR race course / weekend and produce a mixed media slideshow like the old Vital shows and Enduro coverage would be great again.

Is the 15+5 team thing not just about who is included in team rankings, gets pit space preference etc? I.e you don't need to be on one of the teams to race (you can meet one of the other criteria) but being on one of the teams affords you same kind of advantages it does currently? That better be the...
Your single anecdotal experience w a union does not counter the weight of evidence. The slopestyle riders are collectively organizing to negotiate their compensation. That makes them, you guessed it, a union. I'm not here to convince you unions are good for riders, I am here to support the riders and their collective bargaining.

Good God. Your TLDR fails on ever level. It isn't even succinct. Here is how you do a TLDR. TLDR, unions raise wages in every industry and they do so by threatening to withhold labor, or withholding it and demonstrating the value of their labor in its absence. The weight of evidence in the economic field is clear on this. Unions raise wages. https://academic.oup.com/ej/article/130/631/1898/5824627?login=false

The point is you don't do it alone numbnuts. You negotiate as a block to reduce the asymmetry of power between employees and employers. And this action came after months of negotiation, it didn't happen overnight. Go look at every industry where there are unions and take note that the union members are better paid and compensated than their non union counterparts. If you like being underpaid, cool, keep sucking up that capitalist kool-aid, but I am proud of the riders for standing up for themselves and pushing their employer for better pay and conditions.

Compensation is negotiation between employers and employees. Employees banding together to negotiate for better compensation is "how markets work", corporate bootlicker.

Fuck all these corporate apologist telling riders they should be greatful for what they get. That they arent irreplacable. That they arent worth more. Fuck all that noise. Get paid lads. Godspeed.

Nah dude. It just isn't funny. Neither the original post or your response. Saying as much isn't being "woke", and the need to bring up being anti-"woke" every time the majority of reasonable people deem something inane is the most unintentionally ironic "snowflake" behavior. I know you don't want to be a snowflake. Back to rumors please. Kade to join Deathgrip on the ultimate free-racer squad.
