Yah, really like me a good raw and black metal shred sled too. This is definitely that.

This bike is awesome! I am somewhat baffled by the additional info on the tires, specifically the PSI listed for each. I assume with the 3.00 tires you can run lower PSI, but surely those numbers can't be right?

Product sounds great but price is unreasonable. Sure there was RD costs that have to be recouped but you wont sell any at that price and recoupe nothing. Sell it at like $20 and the long term volume will be how cost is recouped. And patent that asap. Other brands will make similar products and undercut you (especially at that price)

I can empathize! It’s difficult to explain the full physics without photos, but I was trying to remove a thread on cog from Halo single speed driver without the dedicated tool. I ultimately bent and wedged a cone wrench between the cog and a lip on the driver body. I then proceeded to put the whole she-bang (pun intended) in a bench vice to try and bend the cone wrench free. Needless to say, it did not go as planned. The bent cone wrench snapped releasing all its energy and shot the driver/cog into my face/eye with no protection. Luckily...

Just last week, I started to get a new rattle in the front end of the bike. It sounded pretty bad, like a very loose bolt, after a few minutes I started to worry that it might even be a loose ball bearing wandering around my headset. I eventually stopped riding and discovered my handlebars were acting like a rainstick/maracas... WTF? Turns out I had slid out the previous ride and damaged my grip, I had replaced them when I got home with some silicone ones I had in the garage (supergluing them in the process...). Except during the crash...

Did not know that was a difference between shimano and sram… probably a patent issue I’d imagine?

I had a 3 - 4 beer single speed build one night after work years ago. At this time I didn't have a stand so I turned it upside down to install the cranks, pedals, wheel, chain and chain tensioner in my garage. Satisfied with my chain tension I flipped it over and hopped on. It would only go backwards, I had installed the drive on the wrong side....

Dude what an honor! I knew that the thread could be good but people’s responses were gold! My hope was that 1) it would generate some comedy and 2) that we would feel more connected through our shared dumb experiences. Really feeling that now!

2018 I bought my first mountain bike. I’d ridden twice a week for about 5-6 weeks when suddenly my dropper became very slow about 10 minutes into a ride. Pretty soon after that it was just stuck at full extension and I abandoned the ride and headed to the bike shop to get it looked at. They were too busy and had a 2 week lead time on booking it in so I headed home. I’d never had a bike before that I’d done any maintenance on other than changing tyres. I was itching to get out and ride and...

I have a great one about those quill stems: Not my bike, but my friend from way back in Jr. High had one of the first full-sized, 24" or 26" BMX bikes I had seen. (This was in the mid '80s.) It was just a regular store-bought kind, with nice graphics but cheapo parts, probably a Huffy. Anyway, we had this cool little spot right in front of my house that we'd session all afternoon; it was a small jump up to an elevated sidewalk, with a dirt trail leading back down to the street level. We'd wheelie down, or...

I raise you finishing a ride, leaning your bike against the rack, forgetting it isn't secured, and starting to drive off before realizing you almost backed over your bike

Please come back and post here when you do manage to forget everything Wink That reminds me: I was pulling away from my house to go on a ride last week and checked my rear view mirror. No bike on the rack. Instantly thought of this thread.

Having 2 batteries is the trick for me. Fresh battery comes off the charger, remove used battery from derailleur, install fresh battery, used battery goes onto charger. There is always a battery installed on the bike. I swap them at the beginning of the month and almost never run either one dead.

I tend to forget things, a lot, but two of the more recent ones are: When I ordered my Reeb SST a few years back, it was right after the new Transmission stuff came out, so I the the Gen1 AXS upgrade for free. (I wouldn't have optioned for it) Fast forward a few weeks later and as a big proponent of Dawn Patrol, I load the truck up and head to the trail had just as the sun is peeking over the horizon, I throw my leg over the bike take a few cranks and try to shift, only...
