I’m sorry, but Daprela doesn’t ‘deserve’ anything. Racing at a World Cup level is a privilege not a right. It’s beyond just being fast, you also need to have certain aspects of professionalism and be enjoyable to be around. Regardless of what actually happened in the ‘incident’, his continued behavior in the aftermath is uncouth and any team should be hesitant for that alone.

I'm not currently riding in one, but I've had my hands on one somewhat recently. I got to take a tour at Fox HQ a month or two back and was able to check it out in person. It is surprisingly super light... It definitely feels closer in weight to a Proframe RS than all the iterations of the Rampage Pro Carbon (MIPS and Fluid Inside), all 3 of which I currently own and ride in. The matte black Rampage RS looks a lot better in person than in photos, but the other two colorway options aren't great looking in...

I think you have over thought it and the bk sport thing. I'm pretty sure it was just a merch opportunity off the back of his YouTube channel success and popularity. From the conversations going on in other threads on this site and others it seems like that may be on the decline so I doubt he could count on that. Dan wouldn’t even be able to qualify for a final. Being a fast rider at your own bike park you ride everyday is completely different from racing world cups.

The difference between the 2 is that Red Bull's events are private events, organised, produced & broadcast by them. They can invite whoever they want, no one can argue otherwise. WBD are organising World Cups on behalf of the UCI, the world governing body for competitive cycling events. They should be completely neutral & the only way to be free from bias/influence is to go off points for all teams. Personal opinion...
