Hello Vital MTB Visitor,
We’re conducting a survey and would appreciate your input. Your answers will help Vital and the MTB industry better understand what riders like you want. Survey results will be used to recognize top brands. Make your voice heard!
Five lucky people will be selected at random to win a Vital MTB t-shirt.
Thanks in advance,
The Vital MTB Crew
He’s Canadian, fuzzy, is “short” and basically indestructible
since the rumor thread is a bit slow with Jesse only trolling us once a week, circling back a bit to UCI stuff and rider reps duties and confidentiality requirements, i was sent this today from someone we all know and love. points 4 and 5 are reasons we're not hearing anything from riders/people involved with the UCI...they're in a confidentiality agreement. makes sense.
it's on the UCI site but just posting images of the doc here.
Once again my lunchtime scroll finds Jesse's posts on instagram and:
Riding a black bike with tape covering the model name / company name. Any ideas for bikes with names centered on the top tube?
Also taped bars, with bright green logos on the edges. Tasteful taping, as I can't read enough of the logo to be able to figure it out. Any sleuths?
I've been wondering on what bars those are for a while (he's been on them for most of the season), and can't figure it out.
There's lots of black enduro type bikes with names on top tube:
Santa Cruz Nomad 6 (don't have a real factory team though)
Forbidden Dreadnought
Norco Range (but they just paused race teams)
Trek Slash
Orbea Rallon
I'm sure I'm missing many.
Still his altitude. Has Rocky badge and maple leaf on top tube…
Pretty sure it's his altitude looking at Mckay Vezina's story.
Is this a new page in the appendix to the UCI's personal enrichment handbook? Sorry, rulebook or whatever.
They are only shooting themselves in the foot while punching themselves in the dick with all this dragging out what is happening with broadcasting plans. XCO races start in May. #ticktock
This only affects Myriam Nicole and Greg Minnaar on the Gravity side of things.
Why is it so tough for people on here to understand that from this point onwards anything (or most things) to do with organization, broadcasting, scheduling and sporting changes are in the hands of ESO/WBdiscovery and NOT the UCI.
UCI will be involved in calendar and rules and regs (luckily).
PFP going for 5?
Jesse to ride for Rocky Mountain, canyon and specialized next season?
RM frame,
Canyon cockpit
Specialized wheels/tires
You heard it here first folks
My god, ACTUALLY trolling?? :D
jesse = best internet MTBer ever.
When you want to make 100% sure your bike won't finish a race...
.....and just now spiked the ball. (with that last post^)
I think it's a beautiful play of pure evil genius on his part.
Martin Whiteley had proposed A and B races as a solution to having a smaller main event. B on Saturday, A on Sunday, and keep riders able bust into the A group, top 5 B racers race in A the following day.
wouldn‘t that not fuck up the track even more?
Sounds like it.
Not a rumor but felt it needed mentioning. One of the two owners of Red Bull passed away.
More than merely "one of the two owners" (although there is a third owner; the son of the other founder and inventor of the drink owns a tiny percentage such that neither of the two founders owns a controlling stake), Dietrich Mateschitz was the impetus behind taking the drink to the west and turning it into the advertising and sponsorship company it is today. Everything you see associated with Red Bull is essentially down to him – the inventor being a silent partner. So thanks Dietrich for supporting many of the sports I enjoy watching, even if your drink is crap.
