Bruni's mental game is just bonkers, what a hero. Hope Danny can keep the pace into tomorrow, we all know he should have gotten a better ride coming into the season. Drama if proviteer Daprela gets onto the podium tomorrow? Not much love between him and Loic, to say the least. Still think this is a Pierron track, looking forward...

To answer some comments from my original point: In all cases the brake (always rear) makes a loud screech and I lose almost all power. The lever doesn't feel too spongy, it seems more like the pads can't grip the disc anymore. With the Galfer rotors, you could visibly see the disc warp like a pringle, in fact for 5-10s...

Personally, I check out the results and a few clips of the E-EDR races. The coverage is awful, which is the first issue in this chicken and egg problem of getting people interested. But I like to know which bikes/motors are up there, and I have ridden with a few of the contenders so like to follow their careers. Additionally...

Reviving the thread as something has been bugging me the last 3 summers. Context: 75kg (165lbs) rider, loads of racing experience, done a few EWS'. I never really had any issues with Brakes from 2010-2022, mostly on shimano saints with 200mm rotors. About 3 years ago both my bikes had come with Code R's so I decided to stick with...

Worth mentioning that brake power is relative to rotating weight. As your rim, tire, and potentially tire insert get bigger and heavier, your wheel is significantly harder to stop, which necessitates bigger rotors. That sounds a little conspiracy hat-ty, but it's real. I felt this as I upgraded to 29" from 27.5", and as I started moving towards downhill tires and later inserts on my trail bikes, and I believe this is why 4-piston brakes are now standard on trail and even XC bikes, when 2 piston brakes were fine on many 26" enduro bikes. I'd also bet my bottom...

100% Agree. Imagine walking into your local bike shop wanting to update your aging mondraker enduro bike. - Hello, I'm looking for a new enduro bike. - Ah yes, take a look at this Foxy. - No, sorry I must not have been clear, I want an enduro bike, like 160mm of travel, not a trail bike. -Foxy it is...

Another hot take (in light of rumors the new Hightower will also move towards 160/160 mm travel): keep bike model names in the same category, do not move them around. One of the main offenders of this is Trek who moved the Fuel EX from what was a downcountry bike before downcountry existed (120/120) to almost enduro levels (150/140 with the Gen6). It can kind of be explained by people wanting to buy the same bike over the years when they progress, so start off with less travel and move to more travel and just throw them the same model...

I had issues with kryptotal enduro rear, the rubber peeled off in a weird way and I had a number of flats within a month. This is the only tyre I have ever asked for a refund from and was successful. I would step up to the DH version but the sizing is very limited. Fantastic front tyre though. I...

Everything is supply and demand, right? Maybe the competition is a lot more aggressive on pricing in Europe, we have a bunch of european tyre makers also (no idea where they are actually producing the tyres though). Personally, I'm still able to get my tyres around or below €50 (mostly Schwalbe, although I sometimes test conti, vittoria or spesh). This...

You see and probably will continue to see Bosch as they provide a "safe" and mostly up to date system (gen 5 is quieter, bigger more advanced battery, toptube display and wireless controler, though "only 85nm") . For a brand today there are just too many options and it's much easier to choose this and not go for something they dont know and may be unreliable/not have a support network ... Choosing the "wrong" system could potentially kill a bike as many riders today choose the E system before the bike (looks,geo,suspension...). You can ask Yeti,Transition,SC,Evil who made some of the best handling...

My Reign is 26kg on the dot with 800Wh, DH tyres and coil shock, but light drivetrain and wheels. I got my coil shock tuned for the bike and my weight (Novyparts Novya), and was very surprised by how stiff and fast rebound the shock was setup with, works incredibly well though and makes the bike very playful... so long...

My Reign with a burly wheelset & 2mm rotors with DD tyres(lighter than stock lol) fox 38, xt brakes, 800wh battery... it weighs 27.74kg(like 61lbs?) with alloy pedals & full 600ml bottle. Honestly it feels lighter and more agile than my Ransom eride, Merida(the new one), my old rail & my turbo levo Not sure what it is about this bike, despite being heavy on the scales it rides lighter.
