Batts Added a reply to Washing helmet in dishwasher?

I used to never think about it, and I sweat A LOT!!! I smelled something one day and finally figured out it was my helmet. I will not buy a helmet unless I can get spare sets of pads, full face or half shell. I used to love the A1 because it was one giant liner. No longer made. Most...

Ha! Relevant topic for me as I'm freaking vain AF and cannot stand my own funk, much less others (especially those who think that not washing your knee pads all summer is a virtue of some sort). Here's what I found out from a microbiological stand point. Shit emit odor because of chemical reaction, i.e. shit are growing and multiplying in your helmet pads ripe with the right environment for organisms to thrive (damp, dirt and dermal deposits). I've tried everything and the funk seems to linger. Here's what worked for me all the time and every time. Use off...

Agree, reason I ride longer travel bikes is more for the geometry than the amount of travel. This bike looks great on paper, would love to ride it on my local trails. Could the seat angle be a little steeper??

Pretty stoked about what's going on w/ light, short-travel bikes these days, I feel like maybe brands are finally figuring out that this class of bike in this weight range will work for most/many people for most of what they ride (but maybe that's just me...)

I have to say I trust anything that One Up makes. Only their first set of grips didn't work out for me, once wet they slid all over at the end without the clamp and really were not for me (grips are really a personal preference).

Been following WC DH for 30+ years, this is insane to me. There has always been one rider or even a group that is head and shoulders above the rest on a given weekend. This proves that qualifying for a WC is insanely hard these days. Props to the top 30, but really props to top 50 because one slip...

That was crazy!!! So many mistakes and still in P4, there is no way to have a run without mistakes in those conditions. Funny how quickly his tires got clean on the motorway. And holding that 2:37 was insane too.

Maybe same age as Benoit when he got his 1st??? Luca is 29, Benoit is 31
Fortunately in the UK it's normally really cold when it's wet and relatively warm when it's dry so I feel like my rebound damping self adjusts with the temperature. Not sure how much the oil viscosity is actually changing, maybe the tyres also react differently in the cold also, certainly feels different though.
