Ha! Relevant topic for me as I'm freaking vain AF and cannot stand my own funk, much less others (especially those who think that not washing your knee pads all summer is a virtue of some sort). Here's what I found out from a microbiological stand point. Shit emit odor because of chemical reaction, i.e. shit are growing and multiplying in your helmet pads ripe with the right environment for organisms to thrive (damp, dirt and dermal deposits). Pretty stoked about what's going on w/ light, short-travel bikes these days, I feel like maybe brands are finally figuring out that this class of bike in this weight range will work for most/many people for most of what they ride (but maybe that's just me...)

I have to say I trust anything that One Up makes. Only their first set of grips didn't work out for me, once wet they slid all over at the end without the clamp and really were not for me (grips are really a personal preference).

Fortunately in the UK it's normally really cold when it's wet and relatively warm when it's dry so I feel like my rebound damping self adjusts with the temperature. Not sure how much the oil viscosity is actually changing, maybe the tyres also react differently in the cold also, certainly feels different though.
