Completely agree with better classification/seperation. I have an e-bike, my local trails have several e-bike riders, they are not allowed but we all do it. I ran into the DEC officer that monitors the land, known him for years. I shut down the motor and rolled up to him and had a brief talk, he did not notice until I...

Over the years I have seen so many POV's of this track I know all the lines and most importantly exactly where to be... At home watching the race on my computer... I would never survive. relentless!!!

Nice thread! So, I started biking in 92 and since pupils don't have cash for workshop repairs, I was thrown into wrenching the same moment I began and never stopped. These days I am totally guilty of wrenchers' cockiness, yeah got it all covered, noone can tell me anything. Last fall I got a Slash gen6, the one with the chain tourism, so to speak, idler pulley and additional pulley at the chain guide. From the start, the drivetrain made a slight churning sound, which disappeared when lubing the chain. Instant jump to conclusion: yeah, must be the complicated chain...

2009, first season in Whistler I ordered a new giant glory to replace a broken frame in the lead up to Crankworx, 2 hours of it being in my hands I managed to destroy it… So when you’re young, stupid, in a hurry, and never used certain bike tools before always double check the removal tool in against the headset cup, and always check that one of the prongs didn’t slip through the steerer tube hole into the downtube then proceed to beat the shit out of it because your friend told you it’s not moving hit it harder, until...

Oh yeah, now fighting with "cable tourism" on my e-bike. Finally had enough and ordered a wireless dropper. Fixed that (hopefully)

Had a creak, started simple, removed the cranks and BB and regreased, still there. Went through each pivot and checked and regreased bearings and pivot bolts. Still there. Pulled the fork off, repressed the cups into the frame and the creak was still there. It is now about 1 am, started at around 8:30pm after dinner with the wife. Went...

This is where the planned track will be at Whiteface (from the planning last fall). There might be slight changes based on what we saw on AG's stories from a few weeks ago, but otherwise it should be pretty close to what we get. Somebody I know was able to ride it recently before all the clearing was done and supposedly it looks like they basically found all the biggest rocks on the mountain and drew lines between them which should be sick. We will see how wide everything is cut though. There is also a really cool waterfall along...

Here’s my reminder (possibly to myself) that I’m gonna stay off the internet and try to watch the Q2 recap on YouTube as if it’s live. Thank you for your time.

He definitely did that on purpose. Appears there is a photo eye below the arm on the right by the ramp?? Not sure which is the primary timing source and which is back up?? If the photo eye is primary he might have cost himself time "swerving around" the arm as his tire would have started his time as he...

Cool comeback..... But let's think about this. Do you want the racers to make more money? I can say I do and I am guessing, only guessing you do too. So how does that happen? They have to get outside of the cycling industry sponsorship. Pick a country and their companies that might want to join as a sponsor, they will have limits. Amaury got in some trouble a few years ago for his Insta post with braided hair and a quote using the N word. Commencal Mucaoff jumped on that real quick, a large company would have distanced themselves...

Is it just me or can 1/2 the riders in the field not do an interview without saying fuck???? I get being real on your socials but when WB is trying to secure sponsorship from businesses outside the mtb world, you might want to check what you say? Bigger sponsorship would bring the field larger payouts. And as a parent of young ones that repeat everything.... they don't watch with me.

I am usually out riding on race weekends, I will do my picks prior to qualies and never have a chance to change them because I either forget or riding/racing local events. Picking after qualies is easier, you already know who made it to the show. Picking prior to qualies is more fun.

I’m bummed to see they’re possibly going SX. The full power gen 5 is marginally lighter and far more capable (can be tuned down if you want it to ride like the SX and doesn’t weight much more). There’s a few examples already of some Gen5 bikes on the market that are lighter than SX bikes which I feel defeats the whole purpose of the SX system.
