12/18/2024 1:33pm Dating someone on the team you own and manage is bad enough, but the fact that he first met Jenna when she was an underage junior racer on his team is beyond creepy. They conveniently started dating the first year she was in Elite. It is an overused term nowadays but that is the definition of "grooming".

12/18/2024 1:32pm I know a couple Junior riders who spent years on the circuit around B-Kiddy and he seems to be the most hated rider out there and it’s not really close. Obviously I don’t know him personally but judging by the general sentiment towards him and the fact that he’s dating his employee w an age gap that wide, it’s probably safe to say he’s a mega questionable dude.

12/18/2024 10:26am If you knew the story of how he ripped apart and absolutely destroyed his previous partners life, you'd never look at the weasel the same again. Absolute scum.

1/25/2024 6:30pm This is not a tech rumor so I’m not going to talk about this again. What I will say is we haven’t seen a single case of frame damage due to regular use. Frames are pretty overbuilt. Your wheels are more likely to blow up first. Ask me how I know. Off the top of my head, I can only remember two instances where serious frame damage occurred. One was improper installation and one was incompatible shock. We actually paid for the crash replacement frame for the incompatible shock case because there was a typo on our website that was...

1/23/2024 7:43pm The admittedly unclear implication was that “we” derailed the thread and I neither endorsed unsanctioned trails nor demonized them. I just gave us a new place to argue about it. I am keenly aware of and sensitive to the potential for unsanctioned trails to impact legal access. I more took issue with the term eco-crimes and the idea that these trails cause any more meaningful damage than legal trails which seemed a bit extreme in the grand scheme of the late capitalist human shitshow. I will say that the original sin of American MTB occurred in a place where to...

1/22/2024 1:31pm I'm an old guy from Spain. Three years ago I bought and ebike "to do some exercise". There's a small bikepark/trail network near my house. Got into some e-enduro and felt in love with them gravity things, so I started following the DH WC and EWS and got obsessed with all things MTB. Last year I introduced a friend who is s trial-bike guy to the WC and he is now a fan too. Been feeding him snippets from this amazing thread about the "silly season". Yesterday, he asked me:" any news from Mondraker?" Told him "the espionage things were...

1/18/2024 5:26pm I'm sure you'd have a 'dip' in performance after being paralysed. Would you place 30/40th in the world 12 months later though? Didn't think so....

1/18/2024 5:20pm I dont know anything about Dak, but Ryan has gotten his fastest times ever on the bike on runs he knows very well and can make good comparisons. Mondraker is keen to make the bike fast and and is making that a priority. So I think whomever is on the bike will do well.

1/17/2024 2:11pm Spotted EX MS Mondraker rider Mike Jones being handing a New 2024 Mondraker Summum at Dyfi Bike park last weekend. Seems to be riding with Bristol Based “Sterlands Cycle Service” riders who I know Mark Sterland the owner and Josh the Manager worked for MS Mondraker before. Apparently they're partnering up with Mondraker UK to develop a WC/National Team with Mike and another couple of riders Spotted in an Adam Brayton Vlog too!! Now this is something to get excited about. The King of the valleys is back!!!

12/31/2023 2:22pm I think it's doing Meg White a disservice to call her just an "influencer" - she's a legit racer with multiple national level wins. As for sponsoring influencer over athletes - remember, it's a marketing arrangement. The sponsor picks the people to support who will most likely move the needle in terms of sales. If racers don't want to lose marketing investment, they need to get better at being like Neko - a perfect blend of athlete and brand storyteller. The modern athlete in any sport is a brand. Its just that MTB is very, very slow to come to...

9/4/2023 12:01pm STREWTH, first “overbiked” and now “overtired”. Look mate, some folks only have one bike. It’s nice to have a big rig with meaty dh rubber. Just cos you see people riding mellow trails on big bikes doesn’t mean they don’t also see proper terrain and abuse. We get it, you’re amazing. You ride WC DH tracks on a XC unicycle with a 23mm slick. Good for you. DH casing tyres on trail/enduro bikes, yes please.
