1/9/2025 8:53am Considering the season ended nearly 3 months ago and assuming they've been working on it since the start of last season and just haven't made a working prototype, I think that's enough time to build a solid bike before hardline or at the very least before the first world cup. Canyon practically made their prototype appear overnight in our eyes when it was first seen at hardline tasmania last year.

1/9/2025 7:18am Seen as Vali's salary is likely 3-4 X that of Kolb's, I'm sure she doesn't mind having a graphic welcoming him to her team giving him prominence.

1/9/2025 7:15am IIRC Intense was not going to run a WC DH team for 2024, that's why Gwin and Dak's Intense Factory racing (IFR V1 RIP 2023) shut down. I believe John Hall stated Intense was going to focus on National level racing in the US in 2024. Breeden bought and runs the new Intense Factory racing (IFR V2 2024+) and it sounded like Intense has a smaller investment than they did with Gwin. Last year was basically the first year of a new team with an old name. I'd assume a certain level of chaos just like any new team.

1/9/2025 7:15am Who says this was all their decision? Joe Breeden started the new Factiry Team and got that worked out. Without him, I am sure they wouldn’t have had a new IFR. For the MS team, they were a frame supplier. Aside from EF’s surprise win, I would say it was a pretty lackluster year for that team (though Tuhoto represented well in outside events). Perhaps MS was asking for more this year than they could give or, perhaps, MS wanted to go a different direction. Point is, Intense may not have been the one to make that call. The whole...

1/9/2025 7:13am I mean, obviously they will try to market/show Kolb as much as possible, since he's the newest recruit. I wouldnt read too much into it.

1/5/2025 2:33pm Someone should tell Manitou how wrong it is for them to sell boatloads of Dorado's to Surron owners. I would be extremely surprised if they actually sold more to the MTB market at this point. A big suspension company would have to be pretty clueless to ignore the e-moto market at this point tbh.

1/5/2025 2:32pm I probably service 1 of those a year, and one I did recently had done about 10,000k without a service and was in pretty damn good condition inside. The USD concept of keeping oil on the bushings is way more beneficial than people give it credit for.

1/5/2025 2:31pm Be nice. Also, you have to remember that development is secret and maybe he doesn't want to put that XXX brand is making a USD fork as they will know he is the one who leaked it, as potentially only a handful of people currently know.

1/5/2025 2:29pm I dont know that dust wipers have a longer life but the dust and mud is sitting on the wiper the same way. Gravity is working for you on a USD fork. So, I have a dorado 37 that I adore. When it comes to life, the open bath TPC cart in the damper leg looks like it could almost never be serviced. Wipers stay good, oil never gets water and dirt ingress and stays silly clean and sliders well lubed. The air spring side stays clean but the grease breaks down faster. If someone wanted a no maintenance fork...

1/5/2025 2:28pm The decades long cycle of USD forks being good for mtbs, only to have manufacturers completely 180 their narrative continues. Wonder if it’ll stick this time…
