I think we’re more likely to see a lighter Linkglide cassette than anything wireless with less than 12 gears

I've wondered the same thing, and it makes sense. From my understanding, in Europe any e-bike that assists over 25kph (15.5 mph) and has a power output over 250 watts it's not even considered an e-bike anymore but rather a motorbike or moped. At that point they require licensing and registration and cannot be used on designated bike paths and trails.

@bizutch well that’s the complete opposite of what I’ve seen and experienced while living here in the UK and mainland Europe for the last 46 years. But I guess I don’t know anything about my own country and places I’ve lived.

The Fazua motor when it's working is fantastic. Kinda fitting for a Porsche brand, actually. Their stuff has been improving issues wise. If you get an issue the fix is usually permanent and Fazua seems pretty quick to fix it too.

Yeah, if its Transmission standard the 10t is further outboard than traditional HG so they’ll have been able to capitalise on that. Got to give them credit for that workaround

I always wonder if the reason there is more hate for e-bikes in the US compared to UK and Europe is because in the UK/EU they’re limited to about 15.5mph compared to 20mph in the US. Honestly if people were blasting around our local trail centres at 20mph I’d probably be more keen to restrict where they can go. Whereas 15.5mph is a speed that is much more easily matched by pedal power alone (if not uphill).

He's passing through SoCal for a few days, visiting sponsors (Crank Brothers is in Laguna) and meeting up with Fox and Pinkerton (who lives around the corner). You lads may be overthinking this.

Can we stop with the pipe dreaming, people would be more likely to glue their head to the table than properly use industrial adhesives in a frame jig. Most people struggle with IKEA,

With that said, if I had to choose between a frame bonded by pivot or the average pinkbiker, it would be a tough decision.

Sam Hill said... SRAM didn’t even return an email or phone call when he was try to put a bike together most recently. Seems pretty disrespectful to athletes (and champs) that helped push your products for many years. It’s one thing to not resign a rider. It’s another to just ghost them like they never existed!

Often times it’s easiest to cut ties with a few seasoned and well paid employees rather than let go a slew of lesser paid ones. SRAM is just fine. Trimming fat after the bike industry slowdown and political and therefor economic instability. But when so many companies rely on your product that gives you a lot more wiggle room to weather the storm. Including trimming marketing budgets. Rockshox will sell infinitely more oem forks than aftermarket. And I doubt jack moir or Sam hill’s suspension is on the minds of that many product managers.

How bad are things at SRAM that they pull support for the most prominent enduro racer out there? Even ignoring the race results, Jack has by far the best content and following. Seems crazy.

For one, yeah if I was the CEO of a company that supplied DIY frame kits that contained what ever suspension design, Id be losing my hair at 26 because of lawsuits. People would not be buying bikes, they would be buying hospital trips on wheels. Then Id be buying an Army of lawyers to hopefully protect my ass haha. But I did think about Atherton bikes having a frame that is very customizable using their tech. The frame would only be a single pivot for simplicity sake. But you get some freedom on the numbers, stiffness inserts, gearbox or...
