I think for people that can’t stand the indoor trainer, road biking or gravel riding, the e-bike is a great alternative for getting that zone 2 training volume in. The added benefit is keeping your mtb skills sharp at the same time. I’m not sure what LePigPen is talking about with regards to most of that post. Spinning out is almost always a rider issue, or you need a new tire. Bottoming out more, take the weight of the bike into account for your suspension settings seems fairly obvious. We get it, you are too badass for us mere mortals...

TEAMROBOT Liked a product review Best Aggressive Rear Tire on the Market?

11/9/2025 12:03pm
If you're hard on rear tires and like to smash things on the regular, the 2.5 Maxxis DHR II in 3C MaxxTerra compound with DH casing may be best tire on the market if you don't mind lugging around a little extra weight. While the tread pattern is pushing 15 years old, it's the configuration that makes the tire a standout. Not the hardest compound in the Maxxis' lineup, the 3C MaxxTerra provides a solid mix of durability and traction. The 2.5 width adds air volume for absorbing bumps, and the protection for the DH casing means flat tires will...

Anything you want to keep secret should not have any GPS data even recorded at all from your watch/Garmin/phone. Record it as a strength workout with GPS off. I don't trust Strava to even have the data held on their servers even if my ride is private and hidden from the heat map. Every tech company eventually grossly misuses private data and I expect Strava to be no different. (especially after they IPO)

V+R Racing is just two mere peasants (well, a nurse and a medical device engineer). When we started out in 2019 the two of us were just buying DH bikes for junior riders who needed them. Many seasons and many riders later, we had two world cup DH juniors in '25 with one finishing second overall and the other finishing 10th overall. We obviously can't afford our own team, but we can still be a hat/helmet sponsor. I'm still driving my 16 year old car - it just comes down to priorities for us. And we're proof it doesn't have...

I'll bet that if Jordan went to a downhill race, he'd LOVE it! And who wouldn't want a pair of Air Jordan downhill shoes?!

I think you are certainly right in this. It gives me hope for the future of racing. Michael Jordan sponsors a NASCAR team for what I understand to be a similar reason. He loves watching racing, being involved in it and getting to be in the pits. Passion for competition and racing is really what drives that side of sport. That is what gets the money into it. The Waltons have invested so heavily in cycling because of their love for the sport. They just haven't (perhaps yet) gotten into the top level racing piece as much.

NoahColorado Liked a comment about Feature MRP Lift Damper Long-Term Review

10/21/2025 3:45pm
The Lift damper only came out last year, and the V2 update just this spring, so it's only very recently been in our own forks. But, in prior years, our Ribbon forks won "Suspension Product of the Year" on PB and received very positive reviews from WideOpen Mag, Singletrack, and elsewhere – including a great user review here. So, in my eyes they're hardly "meh," but people are entitled to their own opinions. Hope we get to change yours in the future. 👍

It’s a shame they don’t make one for lower spec forks like the Psylo and Domain as they’d be ripe for upgraded dampers

Yeah that was my next thought. I guess all ideas start somewhere but I’m my opinion showing that off in public is a bad look. It would not be too difficult to use some pan head screws at the very least. Also, make it one piece and fold it over with a nice radius so it can’t slice your gooch wide open. Idk I’m just a dumb electrician but I feel like I could make a much nicer one with a beer box template some tin snips and the random hardware in my garage.
