If you buy a good set of carbon wheels with lifetime warranty you do typically hold onto them over multiple bikes.. it’s what makes them cost effective.

Isn't it just a bigger led for flight attendant, so that they know whether it's soft or firm for when they use override mode?

If the 32" wheel takes off, it'll kick-start the development of bikes with 32" specific geo, but for now, as a launching off point and to familiarise riders with the new platform they're basically borrowing geo from 29ers. I've no doubt that when testing on the wheel size itself is done, the next step will be to test changes in geo.

Or will they stick to their 'fun aspect' and continue to make Realist MTB's for people who want to enjoy having fun on their bike.

I'm pretty sure both Trek and Specialized have said they're aiming to reduce the number of SKUs they sell. It already looks like the Kenevo and Kenevo SL, for example, won't be getting updated. And the Stumpjumper 15 has taken the place of both the regular Stumpy and the Evo, I think we will see more of this consolidation as we go on. I think this could lead to a market where small, boutique brands continue to make limited runs of high-end bikes, while the mid-range options become more scarce as the economics get difficult for the bigger companies. It...

Yes!!!!! Modularity!!!! I actually love this idea, and I love the idea that they have the Slash as a high pivot and Fuel as a low pivot, but both can be set up with similar travel numbers.

The geo was whack but the rear suspension was amazing (to my 17-18 year old self at least). Also, mega points for the O.G. Intense sticky rubber shoes.

not in the dual shock configuration, but that did ultimately evolve into the current gen jekyll. the dual shock config was an interesting concept. they were experimenting with having one for damping and one for the spring.

Hopefully they learned from the gen6 EX that a carbon drivestay chainstay can’t be 7mm thick in profile just to clear a chainring. I’m on my 3rd chainstay at this point.
