Considering market issues, it's very smart to have one frame serve multiple disciplines... Lapierre also did that with the Spicy if I remember correctly.

Reminds me of the espresso coating that Marzocchi used.

Noticed that the demo has a free-wheeling pulley on the crank, haven’t seen this in any of the other shots. Maybe I missed it… Waiting on more details about the brakes. Between the new hopes and these I really want to see what gets released first. Hard to imagine that the project black brakes are actually Brembo. I have a Brembo MC on my track bike and this design aesthetic doesn’t scream Brembo at all. My 2c is it’s a specialized design ripping off TRP Smile Just like Lewis stole Trickstuffs patents lol.

Demonstrating that not only can it be used as a belt, but also braces.

The dude from Rimpact would push back at you a little on the point about finely tuning mass dampers. He was on the Downtime podcast not long ago and talked about this stuff. I don't remember all the details but this one stuck out because I also thought it had to be tuned more specifically. Apparently, they did a bunch of testing with a bunch of different weights and spring strengths and noticed less benefit to the "tuning" than they were expecting. It makes sense as an observation, too. A building standing up to high winds or an earthquake doesn't...

I understand you worry, but I also know that Brembo make brakes for everybody in every field. If it is them that is behind these brakes (which is a fair assumption) then it’s fair to assume they know what they’re doing

Remember when pros were putting those "anti vibration" stickers all over their bikes because they contained magical crystals or electronic circuits or something? From one of the manufacturers: " If materials with different electron leakage work are brought into contact, a contact potential difference is formed. This represents a voltage that causes the electrons with a lower electron work function to pass into the material that has a higher electron work function. The natural frequency of a material is therefore dependent on the elasticity modulus as well as the density and length of the material. A Wizard Sticker does not...

Question... with all of this weight being added to DH bikes... is there a market for an ISCG mounted chain guide product that has modular weights/ballast to add? Hrm... all of this has me thinking about using the in frame storage on my nomad to have a sock full of lead weight, wrapped in neoprene to slip in there for bike park days. Bonus points for being able to carry what equates to a blackjack with me to fend off bike theives.

I think that's one of the Infinity Stones. If she gets all five, she can make half her competitors vanish with a snap of her fingers. But actually... perhaps it's a suspension setting indicator, a la Loic's much-debated handlebar LEDs? The notches around the circumference resemble the Shimano BB/Centerlock pattern. Not sure if that's just cosmetic, or if it's an actual tool fitting.

Another thing that people don't understand- if something gets leaked before bike shops know whats coming, they can have lots of product on the floor that lose considerable value as soon as a photo is posted, as everyone will want to wait for the newnew or expect discounts. It's already hard being a bike shop owner, and some of this deleting is actually best for the industry in the long run. heavily influenced by Escapee Collectives discussions on this topic and embargos

I recall the same thing being suggested when the Pivot came out with two chains, pretty sure the rules say the belt needs to be driving the rear wheel.

I comment on the other site, but I draw the line at pedal assist. Once you're introducing a throttle it stops being an E-MTB and starts being a motorbike with MTB geo.

thats why i wanted to share it here. there is a lot of confusion about ebikes being motorcycles and its like, guys, when they have throttles youll be wishing for the days when class 3 was a controversy. its all about perspective and understanding that assisted pedaling is nothing to cry about. its this pit bike whining up the trails that we should be pissed about.
