11/14/2025 9:03am Wow! Is that place even more niche than here? Making vitalmtb forums seem…vital. Narcissism of small differences but holy shit what a bunch of NERDS! Hahahaha Mr OG has the textbook “probably a smart guy but just not worth it” vibe. Even the engineers have to admit it. How exhausting, I feel sorry for the Bike Yoker who brought him into the meeting. Ugh. Challenge: make the ultimate grey market scam bike. Only the dirtiest of dealers need apply. Lewis brakes and this dropper for sure. Probably a Horst link frame, make it a YT to keep it topical? .

11/14/2025 6:51am The community did some digging and found out the person behind the product had other failed ventures before the bikeyoke project and in the habit of scamming. A wireless shifting kickstarter campaign that never delivered a working product and scammed lots of people out of their money. He then filed a federal lawsuit against BikeYoke. Then launched the failed wireless...

11/10/2025 2:08pm I had a similar issue with the thread valve but Loctite blue + 4nm torque fixed it. Love the clean look and sturdy design.

11/10/2025 2:04pm I managed to buy two of these wheelsets with the previous version DT hubs when they were discounted at like 70% off - For that price they are pretty unbeatable. Their "thread in" valves do not hold air very good on any of them, so changed to regular valves, and the "crash damage coverage" does not seem to apply for EU customers. Other than that, its a very solid wheelset. For the retail pricing though, there are quite a few other wheelsets i'd go with that has actual "no questions asked" warranty/crash replacement.

11/10/2025 12:15pm Last year I picked up the 240 EXP version on sale for 60% off. They are the most comfortable Enduro/DH rated wheelsets I have tried so far. So much that I recently sold my weareone convergence set which felt harsh in comparison. The EXP hub was a bit of a miss so hoping to re-lace it to a DEG + DF this winter.

11/9/2025 9:53am Got a big ride in on the TRP S05e 220 rotor today. You guys were spot on. It was nearly perfectly true out of the box and took very little to true up. On the bike, they have a nice solid bite, maybe a little less sharp than the Sharks but somehow feel firmer at the lever. Waaaayyy quieter. They made 2 little squeaks I think in 3 hours that went away instantly. Anyways, pretty big fan of these after 1 ride. When I wear out my 203 Sharks I plan on replacing them with the 203 version of the...

11/9/2025 9:53am Great question, I guess I wasn't very clear about that. I was unconsciously thinking of a DH race when I said that, where I would always pick the full MaxxGrip setup front and rear for maximum grip, braking, and damping. For an enduro race, it would depend on how much flat and pedaling there was. If it was a very DH-style Enduro race I would lean towards a MaxxGrip rear, but if it had a lot of flat and pedal sections in the race stages (who cares what the transfers are like) I would be stoked to have the MaxxTerra.

11/7/2025 8:30am Interesting news from I9 following the We Are One acquisition, they named We Are One's founder Dustin Adams CEO of the whole company. I say "interesting" because it's not unusual for the management team of the acquired entity to be more or less dismantled as the smaller structure is absorbed into the acquiring one. Sounds like Dustin is the right man for the job at hand! ------------------------------------------------- November 6, 2025 - Asheville, NC DUSTIN ADAMS JOINS INDUSTRY NINE AS NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER New leadership appointment set to drive the future of Industry Nine’s global business strategy Industry Nine’s founder...

11/6/2025 8:53am Just a heads up, Fox Factory and GoPro both report results tonight. I'll do my best to aggregate results, listen to conference calls (at least with Fox) and put a little post together. Cheers!

11/6/2025 7:13am Check out Lizard Skins DSP brake lever grips. It's a super thin bar tape cut specifically for brake levers. I use it on my Dominion A4 and Maximas. It is nice and grippy and as a bonus it helps with cold metal levers during winter.
