Nukeproof is Back in Business | Updated Reactor First New Bike To Drop

After being acquired by BCF following the Chain Reaction Cycles/Wiggle liquidation fallout, Nukeproof is back - and they have a whole new bike to mark the occasion.

In late 2023, Nukeproof's owner WiggleCRC declared that it was bankrupt, after its main investor (Signa Sports United) pulled their funding. The Frasers Group bought what was left of WiggleCRC in March 2024, and subsequently sold the Nukeproof part on to Belgian Cycling Factory (BCF, which also owns bike brands Eddie Merckx and Ridley) in February 2025. Since then, the brand has been readying itself for a fresh start, and that day is now upon us. Welcome back, Nukeproof!

The new Nukeproof operation is a slimmed down affair, if you count the staff that is now working directly for the brand. A core team of 5 people are taking it forward, but they are of course also backed by the not insignificant resources of BCF itself. Several people of the new core team have been with the brand for many years previously, so the continuity is assured. To that point, the new Reactor presented here today as part of the brand's relaunch was fully developed under the old Nukeproof structure by the previous team - the bike was just about to hit the trails when the WiggleCRC insolvency put a stop to proceedings. Other legacy bikes are also available again now (from trail to DH and three hardtails for the younglings), with a number of new models set to see the light in 2026 and beyond.

Nukeproof will be sold exclusively through bike shops, which will be serviced directly by BCF in the UK and Europe, with distributors stepping in to help in other parts of the world. One cool aspect of this new distribution network is the "Configurator", a BCF-developed system that lets the customer chose frame and decal colors for their new ride. There will be a number of combinations available for the new Reactor already at launch, and the Nukeproof Configurator is set to grow as the future range evolves to cover more colors as well as custom build options. Customers can configure and place their orders with Nukeproof online, with all orders being fulfilled through the distribution network to ensure that shops continue to make their margins on all Nukeproof business. There will be no direct customer deliveries available at all, in contrast to the previous distribution model which offered online customer sales and delivery through WiggleCRC.

Note that current owners of Nukeproof bikes purchased in or anytime after January 2020 will have access to Nukeproof's new "Keep Riding Programme", which provides access to replacement frames (with shocks) at preferential pricing. Nukeproof has also updated their warranty terms (presented in the section below).

Nukeproof Presentation: The All-New Reactor

When the Reactor V1 launched in 2020, it earned critical acclaim for its aggressive handling, suspension performance and infectious ride character. Riders and media praised its ability to blur the line between efficient trail speed and enduro capability — a bike built to be ridden hard, anywhere. It quickly gained a reputation as a hooligan of a trail bike — fast, fun, and always urging riders to push harder.

Now, that spirit returns — evolved, refined, and more capable than ever. The all-new Reactor (V2) brings that rowdy, playful character fully up to date with modern geometry, a refined and more responsive chassis, and re-engineered suspension kinematics for even more traction and control in technical terrain. From concept, through to design, kinematics, geometry, construction and specification; the Reactor is designed from the ground up to be the ultimate aggressive DO-IT-ALL trail bike. It delivers ruthless efficiency on the climbs and unrivalled confidence when gravity takes over.

This is a bike designed for real mountain biking — the rough, the rowdy, the unpredictable. Trails where every line is a choice and every descent demands commitment.

Build Kits, Frames, and Pricing

In order to keep things simpler as the brand gets going again, only two full build options will be offered at present - one carbon, one alloy. You can also go for the frame-only option.

Extended Warranty

By registering your new Nukeproof bike or frame, you can extend the standard 2-year warranty cover to a lifetime warranty. (Please note: downhill frames are excluded from lifetime coverage and carry a 2-year warranty.)

Registration also extends the crash replacement and makes the warranty and crash-replacement cover transferable to second owners — including downhill bikes.

Keep Riding Programme

This is designed to support all Nukeproof riders, keeping everyone on the trails as much as possible and going back to model year 2020 bikes. Riders who have a Nukeproof that was not originally supplied by Belgian Cycling Factory, and have a broken or damaged frame, can access an equivalent replacement frame (including shock) at a discounted rate through their local Nukeproof dealer.

How It Works:

  • Eligible customers will have the opportunity to purchase a discounted replacement complete frame (including a shock) of their choice.
  • A selection of frame options will be available under this programme.
  • To qualify, customers must:
    • Provide proof of purchase confirming they are the original owner and that the bike or frame was purchased from January 2020 onward.
    • Verify the frame-related issue with our customer service team. (This will cover any issue that would previously have been considered warranty or damage arising from a crash.)
