I can actually provide some feedback here to the maven base vs all other flavors of maven conversation... unfortunately, @TEAMROBOT took most of the words right out of my mouth. I have 3 sets of maven brakes on my bikes, Experts, Bronze and Base. I am running 200mm HS2 rotors and metallic pads on all of the setups. I recently bought the maven base to put on my trail bike as I was having a hard time running mavens on 2 of my bikes, and then TRP DHR Evos on my trail bike. The modulation point (harder to feel the...

Markus coming across as that POS who is bashing his wife and says something like "look at what you made me do, you made me do this" kind of vibes everyone else's fault but his.

In honor of the 1000th page, we should vote on the best meme of 2025: 👍🏻 for “Crab” 👎🏻 for “6-7” edit: Carcinization is the antithesis of innovation. Maybe we should keep crab talk on the crab talk forum and keep this thread focused on MTB tech rumors and/or innovation.

I really liked the lever feel and power on my DB8's with HS2 rotors, but there are definitely people in the comments and in this thread who disagreed: https://www.vitalmtb.com/product/guide/hydraulic-disc-brakes/sram/db8-5… 100% agree that the stock organic pads on the DB8's need to go immediately in the trash. I think a lot of the reason why people who hate DB8's hated them is because they came stock with organic pads and those people never thought to switch. The organic pad is unrideable for me, and really only valid for beginners, intermediates, and for customers buying them on an city ebike for commuting...

Wow! Is that place even more niche than here? Making vitalmtb forums seem…vital. Narcissism of small differences but holy shit what a bunch of NERDS! Hahahaha Mr OG has the textbook “probably a smart guy but just not worth it” vibe. Even the engineers have to admit it. How exhausting, I feel sorry for the Bike Yoker who brought him into the meeting. Ugh. Challenge: make the ultimate grey market scam bike. Only the dirtiest of dealers need apply. Lewis brakes and this dropper for sure. Probably a Horst link frame, make it a YT to keep it topical? .

The community did some digging and found out the person behind the product had other failed ventures before the bikeyoke project and in the habit of scamming. A wireless shifting kickstarter campaign that never delivered a working product and scammed lots of people out of their money. He then filed a federal lawsuit against BikeYoke. Then launched the failed wireless...
