Jordie having "less" to do with Dak has more to do with how involved a rider's mechanic is in the tuning process. There are entire teams sponsored by Fox that you barely ever see talking with Jordie because they work on that stuff with their teammates and/or mechanics/staff. The telemetry equipment on forks/shocks isn't usually branded "FOX" on it.

Thinking out loud here. Maybe ESO heard/read all the comments about how the trackside coverage by Vital, edbullmedia and moimoitv was leaps and bound better than their coverage, postrace coverage by wyntv. Possibly took that personally and will make freelance coverage like this much harder next year and heading into the future. They have already made it harder for riders who like to post their vlogs from race weekend.

It's the same company, PON Holdings, as Santa Cruz (and Cannondale), so I could see the corporate directors discouraging them from running two expensive race programs. Even more so with the current state of the bike market.

Both are correct. Teams have had the schedule. But just like Neko said...they still have some real grey areas vital to actually getting a team budget together, presenting answers to sponsors to get them to spend money. Schedule is just 1st base. Nobody knows who qualifies, how many qualify, how much video exposure per run, semis, no semis, 60 or 30 or 80. Fees per team...or rider...or factory. Tons of ghost protocol right now

The teams have known a little more about the venues/continents/countries for a few weeks now. But everything Neko says is what will teach you what it means to TRULY be pro. Pro about putting on events. Pro about getting a team together. The calendar/budget/money ALL depend on schedules & pricing being set by the promotions/event co-ordinators by Sept. 1st each yr. Unless you've got a trust fund or blank check, you can't show sponsors a budget, schedule, forecast exposure...nothing. That is a killer. Each year DHSE has done a better job of getting their race schedule out to the public...

It's also insane that full schedule and full details on next season isn't out for next year. Neko brought it up on the "Working Class of #USDH" podcast that Jackie Ricecakes did from the pits... but how are teams supposed to come to their sponsors with asks when the "package" hasn't even been revealed as of yet. They're seriously making this tough on teams to succeed at this point.

I think a lot of people are taking ESO and the UCI's claims that a 30 rider final and tighter times makes for a better fan experience at face value. I can see where they are coming from with these arguments, because they are basing them on other successful sports, but I don't think they're right. One of the most beautiful and compelling things about downhill racing is that there is no 'formula' for success. You can have the perfect bike, the best preparation, the most dialed team infrastructure, and still get beat by someone who just had the raw...

What if it has less to do with cash flow and more that 2025 there will be no EDR/EWS, only the E-EDR as per the rumor? These teams are just getting out because they don't see the point in continuing a dead series and the coverage has been crap. Marketing and publicity is just as important so they are not seeing any ROI if there is no coverage. I'd like to see a candid interview with Chris Ball to try understand some of their decisions, because from the outside it certainly looks like they are trying to destroy it. Remember...

@hamncheez2003 "I'm guessing that this Cane Creek gives you more support sooner (and is tunable), and gives you more response or "pop" than the EXT solution." - You're correct here! RAMP Tube should not be thought of as JUST a bottom out feature. It's a better way to tune the overall spring characteristics and ride feel of a coil shock. Progression (and therefore bottom out support) is the result of the added tunability and increased liveliness that you can now add to the existing benefits of a coil shock.

Can't wait to watch Neko and Asa tear it up next year! Frameworks is set for a bright future, some of the most humble and down to earth racers on the WC circuit.

Bruni has always been generally unlikable for me. He has always seem spoiled and entitled. He has moments where he see like a fun decent human but then he always finds a way to remind me why I don't like him. I remember there was talk about all the riders just not taking a run to prove a point and it was said someone would not follow. Bruni is the one who would take the run. He would say look at all the points a just gained like that would make it ok.

I'd like to point out the most blinding oblivious part of all of this. Prize money for "World Cup" riders is still non-existent. Race organizers(even SMX & all the money it supposedly laid out for racers to win) still pays the riders crap after top 3. Ellie riders skipped SMX because they couldn't make their money back even if they got top 10. Anyone in big ticket item sales will tell you that "Feast or Famine" pay scales leave even the people hitting the peak of the pay scale get paid crap when you average out your wins & losses...

The fact that ESO doesn't know the details at this point in time, well after budget decisions needed to be made by teams and sponsors is the problem. The fact that ESO doesn't know is not an answer. It is unacceptable.

Some privateers I follow in social media are pretty pissed about Brunis opinion and I have to agree, most of us dont have the resources to be like him but dont really care as we do it simply for the love of this sport, as do the privateers. Ofc they want to win and succeed but I'm fairly certain they will continue riding bikes even if they dont make it big.
