If only someone made a linkage that allowed a longer shock to to be run on the Levo and it yielded 170 mm of travel. That would be wild.

Nah. Top tube straight continuous to seat stays is very 2020. Now it’s all about the grasshopper. Steep down tube to low flat chainstay. And I’m all for it. Maybe your right, straight line is industrial design where grasshopper, is sex. as long as no one does steeper chainstays than top tube. 🤮

Honestly, the Reya is the first XC bike that I really, really want to try as a 6'3" individual. I feel like that jack nichelson nodding meme as I work my way down the geo chart on the XL. Edit: Can we also agree that peak bike industrial design is a straight top tube that aligns directly with the seat tube... connecting the top of the head tube to the rear axle with an un-interrupted straight line?

Totally agree and I have a stumpy15. It was on my list, but not near the top. I was very hesitant to buy a ‘middle of the road’ bike. Well fuck that because not only is it extremely capable and a great all around bike it is the best put together bike I’ve worked on. All bearing and frame spacers are well thought out. It is one of the only bikes I’ve had that has t eaten bearings and had linkage loosen. That’s after a full year of riding in all conditions. It has been put away wet too many...

Comparison of bars with rise modeled in. Both have a similar max load. 35 mm bar is on top and 31.8 mm bar is on bottom. Bending moment is at its maximum on the inboard end and zero at the free end so I think it makes sense that the stiffness of the innermost section of bar is quite influential in terms of deflection. It's worth noting that, while the approximate 0.05" difference in deflection is a little more than 10%, we're still only talking about 0.05" difference. Thin vs. thick grips would easily take up that difference. Ultimately you...

As far as I can tell, they've been selling well. Specialized may have produced a smaller first couple of runs on them, considering the state of bike sales.

Thanks for the math award. I don’t even practice so it’s double nice. We are also very handsome here on the messageboards. That bike is super dumb looking.

In honor of the 1000th page, we should vote on the best meme of 2025: 👍🏻 for “Crab” 👎🏻 for “6-7” edit: Carcinization is the antithesis of innovation. Maybe we should keep crab talk on the crab talk forum and keep this thread focused on MTB tech rumors and/or innovation.

Or, Norco. Team being managed by a legend that was the king of tinkering with frame adjustments until the day he retired. A team that has a F1 engineer. From and outsider perspective. I could see Norco being a good fit, logistically. - Team that supports outside of the box thinking for bike set up, and the money to do so. - Team that has $$ backing to support riders traveling abroad for long stints. -When Greg started managing Norco, he brought Cathy back in to help manage all the logistics and take care of the riders. Now, lets toss...

Chatter on new designs releasing just makes people avoid buying the current models because they are waiting for the new ones to come out. The more they prolong releasing new bikes, the more other brands will scoop up that market share from the previous brand loyalists who didn't want to wait 6 years to buy their next enduro bike.
