11/13/2023 3:20am They would have increased the same amount as DH. The rate increase relates to how many disciplines a team does ie if you have a Enduro, DH and XC teams then you saw the biggest increase and pay the most - 23k euros.

11/12/2023 7:37pm We know ESO doubled team fees in downhill, does anyone know if they did similarly wit Enduro? Increasing cost + poor coverage + poor sales = cost cutting for manufacturers. Racing is always one of the first marketing expenses to be cut. ESO treating Endro like second class race series last year can't have helped.

11/12/2023 1:55pm 1. DH racing is not comparable to alpine ski racing b/c you can't get on course & stay on course as a spectator. That is a big advantage in drawing money to the resorts for a World Cup. 2. World Cup experiences success in the 60 man field b/c it does allow for a finale with either surprise gypsy times OR a guy like Gwin or Amaury (both outside protected) to get through to qualifying for finals with damaged equipment or wrecks. It's inevitable in this sport unlike moto or F1. You WILL fall. Your equipment WILL break. 3. Cutting...

11/12/2023 1:40pm For sure we won’t wake up all riding e-bikes however, from a mtb racing point of view, WBD only want a viable TV entity, enduro isn’t this. E-EDR can be more so. from sources I know it will be happening. even if the UK “National” series has just taken on e-bikes enduro is the gran fondo of the mtb world. Mass participation and soon to be not a global world sport.

11/12/2023 1:39pm I know that there is a tangential connection to team rumors, but the correlation is getting really thin. Any way y'all could move the EMTB sales talk to a different thread?

11/12/2023 1:08pm Here’s a fun one: get a measuring tape and angle finder and go measure the geometry on your current bike. I guarantee you it doesn’t line up with the geometry chart. At least one number will be surprisingly off.

11/12/2023 7:34pm Nope, but you sound high or do you just not understand math? You are the one trying to equate all ebike sales in a large bike commuting country to demand for E-Enduro racing. Yet you imply that normal bike sales don't = Enduro bikes or Enduro racing demand. You can't even make a logically consistent argument.

11/12/2023 10:01am It matters with regards to racing. Selling 100,000 emtbs that are ridden only on road for commuting has zero correlation to demand for E-Enduro racing.

11/12/2023 7:35am Exactly. I would like to see the breakdown of the numbers for off-road use (mountain biking) vs commuting of those e-bikes.

11/12/2023 7:33am Also, let’s remember that Germany has a pretty amazing commuter program for its citizens. I spoke with a winemaker on a trip May this year that said the government subsidized half the cost of his decoy that he uses for commuting to work, work, and play. Not sure if the oil moguls here in the USA would allow something like that to happen. Amazing concept that would be really neat to see happen. Were it to happen it’d still take me the same amount of time to get to and from work everyday here in New England. #hopesanddreams

11/6/2023 3:27pm Reese and Loris both wearing 6D helmets on instagram. I wonder if the nonsense with Kade really did kill the 100% deal 😂 Also regarding all of these “outside sponsorship” deals I’d bet my lunch that most of these are just product deals in return for a few social media posts. A couple of athletes getting a car for a year from a local dealership is a long way from the “big outside sponsorship dollar” that keeps coming up.

11/6/2023 3:24pm No lie. My dad spent 30 years being told he looked like Chuck Norris. Dad's a black belt in Isshinryu karate & man was it an ego boost. You sure it wasn't my dad?

11/6/2023 3:24pm Lol, That's pretty funny. I'm sure it was Chuck Norris. It was at the Glock dinner at shot show in 2019.

11/5/2023 1:59pm Same for Slovenia, but it's also true only for olympic sports if I'm not mistaken, as you need a high enough status/clasification from the olympic committee to qualify for the job. Also, car dealerships throwing a loaner car to the local athlete is nothing like what the Volvo Cannondale and similar sponsorships are like. Car sponsorships would be legit if they came from the factory, including a bag of money and a title sponsorship in the name of the team. That's what we're looking for. F1 is a car racing sport involving car brands. But the Mercedes F1 team is...

11/3/2023 2:34pm Its a buisness first. At the head of the uisnes is a person keeping their family together. Nothing pathetic about it. We are all trying to do the same thing, we all make decisions/take opportunities that put us where we are. Head of the team r rider of the team. It's not a matter of one is pathetic and one is not, its not a matter of loyalty or not. It's buisness. Riders need to win to eat. Team bosses need to win to eat. Bike company owners need to sell bikes/win to eat.

11/3/2023 2:33pm I'm willing to bet most racers are listing instagram/tiktok followers on their race resume. I'm also willing to bet these two attributes have about equal weight with potential sponsors. If I were a media savvy racer I would be spending a lot of time talking to Jordie simply for the exposure on Dialed. I can't imagine that I was the first to connect these dots.

11/3/2023 2:32pm Jordie having "less" to do with Dak has more to do with how involved a rider's mechanic is in the tuning process. There are entire teams sponsored by Fox that you barely ever see talking with Jordie because they work on that stuff with their teammates and/or mechanics/staff. The telemetry equipment on forks/shocks isn't usually branded "FOX" on it.

11/3/2023 2:22pm Thinking out loud here. Maybe ESO heard/read all the comments about how the trackside coverage by Vital, edbullmedia and moimoitv was leaps and bound better than their coverage, postrace coverage by wyntv. Possibly took that personally and will make freelance coverage like this much harder next year and heading into the future. They have already made it harder for riders who like to post their vlogs from race weekend.
