Noise levels matter in densly populated areas, for tourism and/or nature reserves. So a vehicle with noise levels only hearable from a few yards away will be treated differently than another that is audible from miles away. Obviously it varies from country to country. In the UK we're already seeing kids wearing balaclavas ripping up our trails on Surrons. There are videos on YT of parents turning up at trail centres with their kids on Surrons. You also see them around town, riding on footpaths/pavements etc. There are also untold illegal conversions being ridden at high speed by Deliveroo guys through pedestrianised town centres. The police don't seem to give a shit, so I'm not holding my breath that the trails will be patrolled or that anyone will get prosecuted anytime soon.

Maybe instead of strapping weights to the frame to make it heavier, they should add a bit more carbon? Curious to see if Pivot is as forthcoming about this failure as they were the prototype. Especially now that they've released this bike to the public.

Okay, I've been thoroughly educated. I've seen Dan kick it with world cup riders on vlogs etc but I guess they have another gear when they're not filming content.
