that's because codes are indeed garbage, they were before and they will be in the future, little power and lot of strength required to obtain it, the exact opposite of what a "downhill" brake should be

Looks like an over-suspension'd Izzo, frame details are exactly an Izzo, down to the chainstay protection. Cool but strange build.

I think that's a Zipp decal we can partially see on the rim in this pic—maybe a new lightweight XC oriented wheel? Of course, with those thin stays and no visible chainslap protection, this is probably a gravel rig, so maybe a Zipp sticker doesn't hint at anything new at all.

The O-chain can feel like a very low engagement hub and can feel like you can do a "fall stroke" and go nowhere. This is why WRP has their new one. Isolates the chain from suspension in both directions with instant engagement on pedal stroke. Except being dumb expensive itll be a standard that Id happily buy. the guy knows his stuff

The world of e-bikes feels like it has been in an arms race these past couple of years. New models tout larger batteries and more powerful motors. Additionally, more electronic integrations, displays, and gadgets. This has left the world of lighter e-bikes in the hands of only a few players. Today, Trek does an about-face and offers the Fuel EXe - a 40-pound e-bike that to us, represents a new wave of eMTB. Highlights OCLV Carbon frame 29-inch wheels (mixed-wheel compatible) 140mm (5.5-inches) of rear-wheel travel // 150mm (5.9-inches) fork travel ABP suspension design Internal cable routing New TQ Motor...

So, admittedly it may be more theoretical than tangible, but you know how the damper and spring sides always resist compression differently. A longer axle creates a longer lever between the two and more potential for binding. Think I heard this idea in a Chris Porter interview.

Okay, put on your beer bottle bottom glasses, we're getting nerdy! This is of course my theory and thinking, I've never designed a braking system so I don't know if this is fact or fiction, but it kinda seems to check out. Though if you ask a 'world cup levele mechanic' on Pinkbike, the swing link does nothing. Anywho, hydraulic brakes are essentially a simple hydraulic machine. As per wiki's article, this is the most important picture in the story (stolen and reuploaded due to the size of the original picture and keeping only the relevant part): That force...

It looks like it's this bike: https://theloamwolf.com/2021/01/04/speculations-new-bicycle-rear-suspen… https://theloamwolf.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/fig6c.jpg But, with the vertical wishbone piece removed between the seatstay and chainstay. Probably the the platform for the new Demo and Enduro.

Part of the reason DH bikes have shorter reaches than trail bikes is because of the long front center due to the longer axle to crown and slack HA. The more stretched out you are the harder it is to go over the bars but the less leverage you have to create a front wheel lift and rotate around the rear axle. The longer the front center, the harder it is as well to get that front wheel up. Of course there's more to it when you think about levers as geometry is a whole package with the BB drop...

What a shame. Ews has been a clusterfuck the past few seasons from a fan perspective. The growing pains are definitely showing. They should really consider taking a step back and just being core as possible. I’ve gone from watching basically all the ews content I could find to basically only watching wyn tv and the occasional recap. I don’t have their numbers but if I had to guess I would say viewership is down when theoretically it should be exploding (out local enduro series free big time with COVID). I know I’m not the only one not digging the...

Any comparison with the Forbidden Dreadnought? It has only 6mm less travel (154 vs.160mm) but definitely is on par with the Spartan Maybe a full on 2021 Hi-Pivot only enduro bikes comparison/review is in order, since there are more such frames available now (Forbidden, Devinci, Norco, Cannondale, GT, etc.)?!
