If Daprela felt he had a case for unfair dismissal you would think he would have taken legal action to the teams himself. The fact that he has built his own private program says a lot. Action, consequence.

You're missing out on the fact that the teams are private businesses and they don't have to hire anyone. If they don't want someone with potential baggage, that's their prerogative. Given that racing is essentially done exclusively for marketing, it's no surprise that the big teams are taking a pass on him. There's not some grand conspiracy trying to hold back your boy, just businesses doing cost/benefit analysis to what he'd bring to their brand image.

The whole 'growing' the sport thing pisses me off. I'm not sure how restricting access to the top level of competition whilst refusing to help establish a pathway to get there 'grows' the sport. I'm not sure how basically destroying top flight enduro 'grows' the sport. The want to 'grow' subscribers to their broadcast to increase it's 'value' so they can charge sponsors,teams and venues more. Who does that help exactly?

The shift that caused enduro to lose its magic and appeal to your average racer/fan seems to be a push from multiple high level race series to "legitimize" the discipline by removing aspects that made enduro uniquely enduro. Long days, chats on the transfers, community cohesion, privateer participation, accessible qualification, and affordable racing. ESO seems to think they can broadcast these races but still won't do it. If the races aren't broadcasted then why do the liason times need to be shorter? Why are many races staged entirely within bike parks? Why the same venues year to year? All of...

We can't speak for Aletha and Taylor (aka The Ostgaards), but we did get an ok from them to post here on this topic. V+R's best understanding is that Aletha chose to leave TFR for different opportunities and TFR chose to end Taylor's contract. Events appeared to have happened in that order. V+R Racing will be the podium hat sponsor for both sisters again in '24. We're super stoked to sign them for another season! They are also riding for GoPro and Smith. They are back on their Treks, but Trek is not currently one of their sponsors. Massive kudos...

To get things back on track: the Ostgaards were on Trek frames instead of Transitions last weekend at Windrock. Not sure if that’s more of the issues with TFR or what.
