Buckets Up Liked a reply to forum topic Slopestyle Riders Boycott Crankworx Rotorua Because of Low Prize Pay, Lack of Appearance Fee
3/24/2024 6:47pm Dude, I think you are projecting one event with one person onto an entire group. We all know how that goes. I’ve been lucky enough to meet many many pro riders in my life and all of them have been nothing but incredibly nice. I’m sorry one rider may have laughed at you, but that certainly doesn’t mean they are all ‘mean girls’ or that in reality even that individual is. Also claiming race results as a reason why someone should be nice to you isn’t the flex you think it is.

3/24/2024 6:29pm Love all these people claiming that the riders are wrong for asking for this. These guys put their life on the line for crankworx and redbull to make money. They should receive an appearance fee. It’s the pinnacle of the sport. I sure as hell wouldn’t be doing backflips off two story buildings, but I’d race the same track that the downhill guys do. So don’t make that comparison.

11/16/2023 8:26pm Years ago, when BMW came out with telelever suspension, I drew up a full suspension bike frame design with it front and rear. I figured it would be the hot new thing. That same week there it was with Whyte on the down tube on the cover of MBA. Damn. At least I didn't miss out on the riches as I don't think they sold many.

10/14/2023 2:08pm Two big issues. One Brendog was robbed. He made the craziest line with tricks. Two all those people who keep going every year have a massive advantage. They need to be handicapped in some way, half as many dig days and half as many sand bags would be good start. When you only have to do repairs vs start from scratch it apparently a major advantage as they get done with less effort and get to start testing way earlier and more often. Some of the lines look like I was almost 100% buffed out wide tracks to ride. This...

10/14/2023 1:50am Zink was over-scored. He did the same run in 13’ basically TVS was way over-scored. The caveman was not that impressive ( for a 2nd place finish ) Brendog and Bien were robbed !! Opera browser FTW!! Redbull and ESPN+ can suck it! Free for the world but not the host country? Greedy corporate BS… Typical Rampage fuckery

10/4/2023 11:02am Aren’t most people just going to ride the same lines they built last year? Since it is at the same venue? I usually enjoy watching the build progress of a line choice -as it’s part of the Rampage drama not knowing if they can even ride it or finish it in time. Now it just going to be the new...

10/24/2022 5:59pm Rampage is never going to be everything to everyone. There is always going to be something that somebody is not happy about. These ideas for improvements are usually poorly thought out ideas that make no sense when you consider the grand scheme of coordinating such a contest. The changes - if any- need to come from the riders & production...

3/1/2022 10:03pm Looks pretty reasonable, I'm surprised Rossi stuck with it after some misses the last few years but they seem to be determined to make this happen. This is a solid first full line up.

T-Dawg Added a comment about press release Jenson USA Now Offering Suspension Services
1/20/2022 6:59pm This is good news and hopefully they keep shock services near $100. Then you don’t have the philosophical dilemma of whether to pay $220 dollars to service a $500 shock, or just buy a new one. (*Never mind…. They want $200 for shock services on just about everything. I’d rather just send it to Risseracing.com for $175 . They did a great job the past two times.)

7/15/2021 1:13am Realistically this is a common theme nowadays. The owner of some social media site gets big, then sells the rights, cashes out and doesn’t give a Fu*k about anything anymore cause they just got a check for 20-100 million. At least the PB sale is not as bad as the Instagram cat lady who started a small pet food “company”...

Idk....so the guy who caused an uproar by saying bikes aren’t allowed to call a “half cab” a half cab anymore - cuz it’s a skateboard trick he invented ...and he legit said: they need to start calling it a “half bunny hop”. Yeah Steve....I’m looking at you sideways cuz of that

2/11/2021 8:30pm Great recommendation. Been looking for an app like this........ but is it mandatory $30.00 a year to use? I mean $30 one time fee is fair reasonable but every year- smh. Isn’t there some Arc GIS online stuff for free?

2/11/2021 8:24pm For those interested in unsanctioned trail endeavors- Download the Onyx hunting app. It'll give you property owner info. Make sure you aren't on an individuals land who might be around a lot. Public land that isn't protected is ideal, figure out who the land managers are though. Might save your ass down the line. Onyx has other useful info like gates as well.

1/11/2021 12:22pm A long time ago (~15yrs ago) - I was watching America’s Funniest Home Videos and the host introduced the bike crashes section of the show by saying: “What is it about bicycles that makes regular people who get on one, think they are 5 times better then they actually are?” ——- Well this was, and is, a profoundly true statement and to this day i have not really been able to answer it fully. You hinted around the idea of this for #3 but also did not elucidate. It is like a koan of the bike
