The seatpost makes sense if you think about it. Raise it up for a better saddle height while cruising around down, lower it for jumping. I ran a dropper on a Jackal many years ago and it was nice to be able to raise the saddle for cruising. Same idea with the gears, shift when you need to for a better cadence with the saddle raised.

little bit of everything. I have a young son so I ride it around the neighborhood with him. It goes to the pump tracks we have here in town, both dirt and asphalt. The intent was to set it up with a varied skill set

I get exactly what this bike is for and I've thought a lot about doing something similar. A straight-up dirt jumper is not great to cruise around town on unless you like pedaling while sitting on the rear tyre. Only thing I'd do different is a 100mm fork, but that's just me. Sick build!

This whole building looks like the room in Men in Black where Will Smith is sitting in the 'modern' egg shaped chair and struggles with no surface to write on hahaha Still cool design and it's dope but I dunno, is there any soul in there?

Sometimes I see people's bikes and think, yeah sure it's pretty, or yeah it looks nice with all the fancy parts... then I see bikes built like this and literally the only thought I get is "I wanna go shred on that, it looks fun as hell". Sick bike and rip on mate!

Beautifully done! Love the Old meets New build and really like that you chose powder coat over spray to make it last at least another 10 years or more.
