since there is a 12.speed Shimano 105 cassette, indexing works without any problems. AXS will never work with 11.sp

How are you getting the indexing to work between the Shimano cassette and AXS derailleur? I had spacing issues when I ran an XX1-DH AXS derailleur with an 11-speed 9-32 cassette.

Hand brakes. The sooner they learn to use them the better. No decent bike should have a coaster.

Yeah, had this at least 15 years ago. CB licensed the Maverick Speedball design in 2008, and I had Maverick posts before that. Functioned well, but got pretty floppy as the cable stretched. Also snapped a lot of cables. Surely Wolftooth has addressed these, they're pretty dialed.
