Had the pleasure of riding one of these back in day, hucking off 10ft drops to ugly root sections at Maidstone - NZ with ease. Thanks for sharing and conjuring up some good memories.

Way back when I was in college in Lincoln, I used to see a guy riding one of these down through the Temple Gardens. Watching him send it down the many steep flights of steps and banking was a nice break from doing actual work. Plus I was dead jealous.

I made that fender. It is made and mounted in similar fashion to the THE fenders. However it uses a Honda crf 50 fender. The old THE fenders are styled more similar to a Honda xr 50. I’ve made a few so far and they’ve all done great.

Yea I’ve seen a few with lots of chips. Aside from some scratches this paint is great.

Definitely a tank. Never ridden a bike that you can really feel the weight. However it definitely has its place and pushes through everything

So good. One of the heaviest race bikes back in the day but also a proper monster truck. Always thought these looked great in a rough-cut utilitarian way.

Closest color to Sam Hill’s Ironhorse I’ve seen is the Kawasaki candy lime green. There is a thread on ridemonkey with more specifics and info on the color. I did my best to match without breaking the bank and I used Tamiya TS-52. Closest colored aerosol I myself could find. And it really lays on nice and does all the right things in the sun.
