It's working, when was the last time you heard reports of the Germans sinking a Manitou fork?

Manitou has selected this particular paint scheme to make it so German U-boats will be unable to accurately estimate Manitou riders' speed and heading.

ReformedRoadie Added a comment about feature Comparing Shimano XT Brake Performance - M8100 vs. M8200

Watched it when it came out. Nick works for Shimano. Did you think he’d say, you can realize a large percentage of the improvements by simply swapping fluid? You didn’t answer the question. FWIW, my OEM SLX 4 pots have been issue free and not required me to try anything. And I probably have a lifetime supply of the old stuff.

Are you aware of any reported failures or warranty claims due to someone using alternative, low viscosity fluids in the last gen of brakes? I’ve seen a ton of people claiming it solves the wandering bite point. And zero complaints.

pre kids - lower service every month, meticulously maintained post kids - oh cool the fork has air in it still, good enough

Am I the only one skeptical about Shimano’s warnings about using the new low viscosity fluid in the old brakes? So many people have reported using all sorts of low viscosity alternatives to improve the wandering bite point, from Plutoline to Redline Like Water…I have never seen a single report of a failure that resulted. Seems insane that a Shimano product would be an issue. Seems more plausible that Shimano wants to sell new brakes, not a jug of fluid that makes the old ones have improved performance on par with the new ones.

So the exact opposite of another site that used to take things apart before they ever saw dirt. Solid review @TEAMROBOT, as usual.

It looks like they refined the air can to be a true hand grenade for when it does blow up. /s

The Rockshox Recon spec'd is hot garbage and will ruin the ride of this thing... RS should be ashamed of themselves. I had it on a NP Scout and I couldn't dump that fast enough. It's a shame, because it looks like a kick ass frame.

I've been using ethirteen's A/T LG1 EN Mopo for a few years and they worked. Their newer Grappler with Mopo is really nice and I prefer that for the front. Although it looks like the Mopo layer on the A/T tires side knobs are mostly pining for the fjords these days. Edit: The Grappler is "2.5" but measuring it with a caliper its narrower than the 2.4 A/T Race and about the same width as the 2.4 A/T Mopo.

It's been a long time since I rode a moto...unfortunately. I have been watching quite a bit of hard enduro and those guys simply lock the rear wheel and skid down anything remotely steep. Found that interesting, and wondered if part of it was not having as fine dexterity using a foot you're also standing on to modulate it.

100% agree on the electric shifting having the benefit of not requiring much force to operate. Tendon and arthritis issues are having me consider it myself. The only concern was hand size using the levers…bike in question is V brake, so hydro would have to be old school Magura.
