Push coming out with a V2 of their Nine One inverted fork. Damper and chassis are the same, but new spring system that let's you toggle a ramp up on/off. Seems pretty cool. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PejLMCeY_6Y

I started paying attention to geo about ten years ago. For a while there every enduro bike release was trying to update to get closer to the Giant Reign of 2015 without anyone really saying so. That was in the everything needs to be longer, lower and slacker days. Couple of outliers came along, Pole and Geometron being the ones I remember. For the most part, seated cockpit sizes still haven’t recovered. 645mm ett used to be large territory, now that’s an xl in a lot of brands. If you want that 78-80° seat tube, you need a 530-540 reach...

The second law of thermodynamics in the Vital Forums: all tech rumors eventually devolve to a discussion about chainstay length.

Alway's loved banshee bikes. If they could decrease there seat tube height and increase insertion lengths I bet they would sell a good percentage more. Americas version of Raww

With consistently high AS/kickback rate, consistently high AR, in practice Switch Infinity bikes just ride like linkage driven single pivots. They tune their AS to drop right at the end of the stroke to minimise kickback, but if your suspension is compressing fast enough to give you kickback while it's already 95% compression then you're about to have a bad time, and kickback is the least of your problems. Switch Infinity is a very complex and expensive way to do very little.

I think these Chinese mushroom brands are going to be a source of entertainment for a good long time to come. The product image on the website shows one Flight Attendant and one Base shock, which is even more weird.

The single review on the site is something to behold: " Blulans? Mor like BluAwesome! S11ULT a bit more expensive than a handful of bikes but this is carbon fiber and you know what that is to mean: top of the notches and the best buck bang on the market area. I have one in my dreams and in the garageway I are many reasons for superior performance. Firstly is one shock and then another shock. The response is overwhelming. For the number 2 reason is the Blulang legacy and industry leading excellence. If you are familiar with Role Royce...

All I can tell you from a German's perspective is that there have been a bunch of smaller (bike) companies here operating under the same self-administered restructuring process - many of which were able to recover. The goal of these proceedings is actually to get the company back on track and not just sugar coating a bankruptcy. Given this, I would expect that customers will receive their bikes eventually even if they are not technically allowed to say this at the moment.

At least Trek's frameset pricing is getting really reasonable for these. Goes to show you where the cost is going, because $5300 CAD for a 37 pound bike with eagle 70, rhythm/performance suspension, db8s, and entirely in-house parts otherwise is.... ehh. Like the old adage, light, cheap or strong, pick two - now you get to pick none.

Not sure if the embargo ends today anyway, but you can check out the Ripley AF on youtube. Apparently the Eagle 90 spec is 4k USD and the lower tier one 3.4 k or something and geo is shared with the carbon version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqJBjwI8-JE The Vid also has a pic of the Ripmo AF, which looks actually pretty nice in raw alu.
