"Markus Flossmann, founder and CEO of YT Industries, said it was "not an easy step for YT, but a necessary measure to actively shape the future of the brand." Flossmann added: "We are already in discussions with potential new partners and are confident that we'll be back on track soon." [emphasis mine]
Currently, YT Industries remains fully operational with business continuing as normal during the restructuring process. Customer service and warranty support continue to be available and new product launches are still on track to launch in the coming months."
@hamncheez2003 where did you see that email?

many such cases
Looking at the image of the lower shock mount more closely, there is the same modular style shock mount (even looks the same) as the new Orbea bike as well as those Treks. I bet its a dual purpose frame with two travel and geo options. One for 200mm (obviously) but I bet one for 175-ish mm as well.
The seat post insertion length does look a bit short, but maybe will electronic rolling shutters and/or motion blur its not as bad as a single blurry image suggests.
Also look how short Nico Vink's cranks are.
No so sure about the strategy of, in fairly quick succession, having a huge sale and taking a bunch of people's money, sending them an email telling them neither the bike nor a refund are imminent, and then launching a new version of a bike called the "decoy."
It's a bold strategy, that's for sure
While the name is kinda on point, it could be worse, like "Ransom."
If it's the same bike we have seen a few times in spy shots, good luck running a 100 mm dropper post based on the shape of the seat tube...
super awkward situation where there are possibly two different companies acting under the YT name. this would explain why there is still a decoy launch and why marketing continues as though nothing is out of the ordinary. It is also worth noting that the offical email said that orders wouldn't be fulfilled at this time, not that they would never be fulfilled. Again, I know shit about business but I am very interested in the volatility of the industry at this point and I am very curious how this will affect the companies and the riders. really sucks if you have money actually tied up in euro YT, but it looks like the decoy might still be a safe bet in NA?
Not sure if the embargo ends today anyway, but you can check out the Ripley AF on youtube. Apparently the Eagle 90 spec is 4k USD and the lower tier one 3.4 k or something and geo is shared with the carbon version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqJBjwI8-JE

The Vid also has a pic of the Ripmo AF, which looks actually pretty nice in raw alu.
raw aluminum one looks great...
makes me think, any other dual link suspension offering aluminum frames? I suppose Banshee falls under that umbrella. Anyone else?
dangit, now that they got rid of the ugly top tube theres nothing to poke fun at
Commencal
And Giant. Not (usually) in a raw finish, but their trail & enduro lines are pretty much always available in both carbon & aluminum.
Kavenz. Alloy only.
Nicolai also.
Raaw
Atherton's aluminum bikes.
Ibis, Giant, Santa Cruz, Ghost, Commencal, etc.
EDIT: dual short links obviously, any Horst link bike is technically a dual link bike by that metric.
EDIT: tired after a training session, I saw the frame design topic at the same time and the Vala comment, kinda though the question is aimed at the aluminium Vala and just answered, not seeing all the other answers.
Well, seing it out in the wild, its not that much of a sercret anymore i guess
Cool to see they have so great specced alu frames
This is a sick looking little bike. Trek's new approach will be cool to learn more about.
New Gambler. Screenshot from Brendog's Vlog.
At least Trek's frameset pricing is getting really reasonable for these. Goes to show you where the cost is going, because $5300 CAD for a 37 pound bike with eagle 70, rhythm/performance suspension, db8s, and entirely in-house parts otherwise is.... ehh.
Like the old adage, light, cheap or strong, pick two - now you get to pick none.
Pretty sure the Scott team has been racing on that frame all season so far.
What’s the pricing on the new frames? $2,800 retail for the current gen aluminum Fuel Ex always made me laugh.
All I can tell you from a German's perspective is that there have been a bunch of smaller (bike) companies here operating under the same self-administered restructuring process - many of which were able to recover. The goal of these proceedings is actually to get the company back on track and not just sugar coating a bankruptcy.
Given this, I would expect that customers will receive their bikes eventually even if they are not technically allowed to say this at the moment.
Pretty sure that Beat Zaugg has such a chub for Twinloc that he played the long game with the Bold purchase, just to finally be able to offer a DH bike with a lockout lever.
Anyone else seen this
