The holes let oil up to the upper bushing… those are already on current 38 boxxer. Someone patented the channel around the bushings. I’m sure fatigue is been calculated and tested. RS didn’t mess around with fatigue. Also curious how they’re making the dimples.

You can find photos of Finn dragging the link thru the ground. It was a pretty clear problem for the race team let alone a bike you intend to sell to the public. For me the redesign takes it from a bike I’d have zero interest in owning to a bike I simply probably can’t afford.

Looking at the failures, it's past the edge. All she did was go nose heavy off a drop and it snapped way worse than those GTs people have been riding into trees at speed. Pretty sure Devinci just recalled a bunch of bikes for something similar

they really need to take a look at their carbon layup. the phoenix is i think the lightest current DH bike out there despite that complex suspension layout with 2 chains and chainrings. maybe a bit too close to the edge construction wise.

Leogangbikeclub comments and says that the little girl is about 50kg, while no doubt she shreds, it feels like the bike should be able to take that abuse. Some more pics borrowed from instagram

We tend to forget in our small bubble how little their regular customer is interested in the behind the scenes of their race program. Most will have heard the company is undergoing restructuring and that’s about it. In fact I know a lot of YT owners who ride their bikes much more regularly than I do, yet could not care less about DH as a sport

Yes. Contracts are bilateral - they hold both sides to the terms set out. YT failing to pay would almost certainly be a material breach of contact, terminating the agreement and freeing the riders from their oblations as defined in the contract. We've already seen Osin race in unbranded kit so at least one rider views their contract as terminated.

I feel you, but some hardtails are legitimately comfortable (when reframed as gravel bikes…) speci Fuse is stiff and sucks, epic hardtail is compliant and feels so good to ride. im telling you guys, the majority of the gravel segment has never tried a mtb (thinks they don’t need one, overbiked, etc.) or doesn’t even need a ā€œgravel bikeā€ (just needs a road bike with 38s and lower gearing.) the gravel category exists because people think road bikes can’t have 45c tires and also that mountain bikes are silly and unnecessary for singletrack. What we see in practice though is...
