8/11/2024 3:59pm Super stoked to see a Heat, LCQ and Main. Even more stoked to see more women for the final as the current limit of 10 is just ridiculous.

8/5/2024 7:14am Curious what y'all know about the new Specialized tires with tire dampening technology. Is that like a mud conditions tire for wet terrain? Or is it a dry tire, but it dampens the dirt so it becomes wet and tacky?

7/30/2024 6:43am I dunno, maybe it's not a bad idea to stay off of forums where people discuss racing until you've watched the race. It's a strategy that's always worked for me.😉

7/16/2024 11:27am If we're sharing our wishlists, I'd like to suggest that everyone who makes an argument like "because physics" kindly show your work. On the topic of the sciences, the goal typically is the characterize the size of the difference. It's a tell whenever an argument takes the form of "less weight" or "more traction" (i.e. "A and B are different") must be better because if two things are different one is better than the other. There's a whole universe of real, detectable differences that are small enough to be meaningless with respect to some outcome people actually care about. Even...

7/16/2024 11:26am Thanks Sspomer, Has anyone noticed a real change recently from open mindedly discussing/presenting rumours and innovations, to endless posts about "opinions as facts" on the topics? Maybe its just me, but I felt like this thread used to be more open to ideas, and just seeing cool things, and I'd like a return to that. These new things arent for everyone, and not every product is meant to be the perfect fit for everyone, which is friggin great, we should want diversity in the marketplace, shouldnt we? I feel like we have strayed from that recently.....

7/9/2024 2:45pm Okay I hate proprietary stuff as much as the next guy but this shock is not proprietary, its a normal stroke and eye to eye shock you can put any other shock in its place. If you were going to say anything is proprietary on this bike its the drivetrain more than the shock, it can only be replaced with other wireless drivetrains from Sram. If anything is representative of the mountain bike industry its moving to wireless drivetrains exclusively, lets take a system that has worked great with a 25 cent cable and replace it with a wireless battery...

7/9/2024 2:44pm I wouldn't class the shock on the stumpy as proprietary. It's a standard size.eye to eye so can be replaced with another readily available shock with same e2e.

6/18/2024 8:06am Also on a 2021 Sentinel and I'll probably ride it til it dies. More options for you are the Atherton 150, RAAW Madonna (Jibb might fit the all mountain category better), and Forbidden Druid. I did demo a We Are One Arrival 150 and it's the only bike I've tried that has tempted me towards a new frame. That bike...

6/18/2024 8:01am Why not another sentinel if you liked it? Could ride the current one till it actually breaks and get a crash replacement frame. Spires/Patrols are also less playful than the sentinel but still have a pretty decent pedaling platform/playfulness if you want to try something with more travel.

6/11/2024 7:17am If you haven't crashed, the ONLY way this can happen is when you reset the pistons without cracking open the bleed port. Even more likely if you've done a lever/top bleed without using the bleed blocks as this method will overfill the system. It's not covered by warranty as its user error but we sent out loads under goodwill (at 1st instance) in the UK. During my time there I didn't send out 1 brake that was a genuine warranty. @Casacadecomponents: If you ever get bored could I ask you to machine up some Magura MT masters... You'd sell feckin...
