11/1/2024 12:41pm How many turns did you turn it in? All the way in? Jogged my memory and back on page 12, looks like some folks have had issues when winding it too far in with brakes locking up.

LimitedEditionNimrod Added a reply to Devinci Wilson BB fitment issues
10/31/2024 1:23pm Devinci customer support has not seen this issue before but might get some headwind with a replacement for the BB Shell (The Wilson has an aluminum insert BB Shell the main pivot rotates around). I also borrowed a thread gauge and both the Hope and DUB measure at 24 TPI. Need to pull the Wilson back down (I put it...

10/31/2024 7:18am Thx a ton for having me. Post any questions or call outs here (which is totally fair) and I'll respond. Also, apologies for all the rambling. I was...nervous. 😬

fartsack Liked a comment about Feature 6 Mountain Bike Brakes Tested With Data - Vital Test Sessions
10/30/2024 3:16pm i've run most of the brakes tested (not the maven) and absolutely love the test. my personal winner is the dominion, which i'm still running. (a4, ditch t4) i agree on the verdict. needed some days to get used to the light lever feel. once you're used, this brake feels absolutely save on slippery conditions as the light lever feel and modulation goes hand in hand. mix this with the aboslute braking power it's easy to switch between brake force through the front or rear. for example entering a slippery corner with lots of roots. great learning curve for modulating...

LimitedEditionNimrod Added a reply to Devinci Wilson BB fitment issues
10/30/2024 11:08am Sent the email out to Devinci, I'll see if they have any insight. I'll take a look at the thread spacing as well, I think I just assumed the diameter difference was the issue but that's a good idea to check the threads. The bike shop only had one size for BSA (Parktool BTS), are there over/undersized taps available?

10/28/2024 11:16am The only utility I potentially see for points is with the competitors and the decision to take a second run. Let us say two riders both complete a top to bottom run 1 and are slotted next to each other in the rankings. Rider A tricks every major feature in their line and has no discernible hiccups. Rider B leaves a feature or two high on the mountain un-tricked, or has a slight bobble. If Rider A's score was an 87.5 and Rider B's score was an 87.0, Rider B might be more likely so elect to take a second...

LimitedEditionNimrod Started a new thread Devinci Wilson BB fitment issues
10/28/2024 9:05am Hey all, I have a 2019 Devinci Wilson that is stock with a GXP-BSA BB. I decided to swap out my crankset and ordered a Hope BB to replace the stock one. When I tried fitting the new BB, the threads engage for about a turn and then tighten up. I verified threads are clean and that I am not...

10/19/2024 2:01pm Should be mandatory that teams compete in minimum of three categories. Would be great for development to see all the big teams needing to take on a jr male or female.

10/17/2024 11:43am It's probably the same frame Unior Sinter riders raced last season they were on Devinci. Dak rode it. It might be slightly different geometry wise but it looks exactly the same. The first proto was ridden at WCs in 2020, probably the reason why it's still a full 29er. Photo is from PB's article https://www.pinkbike.com/news/bike-check-jack-pellands-prototype-devinc…

10/17/2024 11:42am Devinci has a Wilson proto being raced in Canada under someone. Forget who it was but I did see it, and the bike looked impressive.

10/11/2024 7:13pm They stopped selling the old one, I was under the impression there's a new version coming. As for frames, if you want one... keep your ears out and follow them on social media. I am similarly under the impression they will not regularly sell frames but will, occasionally, do a production run for various reasons and it might be possible to pick one up for the patient and dedicated rider.

10/7/2024 6:40am Rumour of my demise have been exaggerated. We are safe. But we are forever changed. A water & wind event of near biblical proportions hit us & has taken far more lives than can be counted. Didn't know where to make my one post, but this will be it for a long time. No politician, no plan, no design could have stopped anything that happened here. A stream I could step across took the first home at the top of it. A friend lost 10 members of his family saving his wife and kids watching his parents & relatives swept...

10/7/2024 6:38am There is a huge amount of CNC machine work in Taiwan/China. It's also possible to have complex items as part of larger orders. Not everything has to be done in the USA. I don't have a full steerer, it's similar to the intend fork with a nub sitting into the bearing and a bolt through to preload
