Those 4pot braking calipers look exactly like OE Tektro. Wouldn’t be surprised if they are using them for mfg.

Some cool tech on Loic’s lower clamps. Split clamp design. Similar to some options we’ve seen on motocross bikes. A good article and test from Luxon about split clamps. Wild to me sometimes how "matter of fact statements" come about based on very little (im making an assumption here) Bryn Atkinson (DH athlete) has one of the coolest press videos for the Norco Optic. Matt Hunter (freeride athlete) has a great Spesh video on the old Stumpy) Almost makes sense to do some filmimg with Loic on the new Stumpy, to highlight its descending abilities (especially if there are plans to shelve the EVO model). That Bilstein patent looks super interesting... I played with a few frequency sensitive valves at RS but could never get them to work smoothly and/or be durable. They would ride great on small bump but then you'd hit something that 'bottomed' the frequency sensitive part and it would bang or spike the damping. Would be cool to see Bilstein enter the MTB market.

At first glance it looks like pretty much all impacts would go through the IFP system until the IFP has bottomed out inside it's bore and then things would flow 100% through the shim stack. As long as the IFP can reset from its bottomed out position you'd be able to have access to that super light damping at any point unlike with a bypass. Whether that's for better or worse deep in travel, I'm not sure. In the automotive world Bilsteins are usually fantastic bang for your buck. I'd hope that would transfer over as well.

I'm not an engineer, but the Bilstein IFP damper design doesn't look position sensitive like Rockshox's Touchdown, which only acts in the first 10-20% of travel (IIRC). It looks like it's a speed sensitive thing for small displacement forces, although I don't know how the damper is smart enough to know when to run a large high speed displacement through the base valve vs. running only small high speed displacements through the IFP. You can have an open section that's still great in bending. I beams for example. Torsion is where having a closed out tube is very advantageous. Vertical and horizontal stiffness might be up there, but if the whole rear end is twisting then closing out the cross sections would be a good approach. Carbon on aluminum can be a nightmare. Galvanic corrosion is extreme compared to just about anything else if they aren't isolated.
