Boxxer was 2.6ish kg, sure light enough, but a 2.3kg dc fork would be even better! The previous 36mm Dorado (not the newest 37mm one) is several grams under 3kg - i know, i have one mounted on the front of my bike!). Both are 20mm axles, i like it more than the 15mm standart, but 15mm is the norm in everything except for dh-bikes. Yeah, saw that article back then, totally forgot about it! The dc enduro fork market is a niche only MRP are enjoying till now (and may be RS as the Boxxer was lightish enough to pass onto some of the porkier enduro builds). But if more brands start making such forks, my guess is the 38mm sc forks would die off!

As stated earlier in this thread, i’d love for the sudden Manitou Mezzer’s 40% discount to be the explanation behind a next gen that has a dc-version, kinda like a modern dc Travis!

Just going to give my thoughts on the Maven lever hand fatigue topic. I am going off topic to rant on about Hope brakes but this will make sense if you make it to the end. For a start I have never used the Maven brakes. I have always loved and championed Code RSC brakes and never had an issue with them, until I tried a set of Hope Tech 4 V4 brakes. Bigger pistons doesn't equal more power is kinda the answer here. The other part is that sram is mass manufacturing these parts, so theryre designed with a lot more variance in production and therefore heavier, than much much smaller scale high end machining than trickstuff are doing. I honestly think all the big brand brakes are excellent currently, they're just all different. TRP, Hayes, Trickstuff, Magura are all excellent products. With Shimano and sram kinda a step below that quartet, which is what you would expect for a mass manufactured product.

One thing I've been curious about with these, since I haven't gotten a chance to mess with them, is how pad clearance looks. The pistons are quite large and my understanding is the master cylinder piston is at least very similar in size to that of a Code. Assuming the 50% more power thing is correct the math verifies this. That would require one of two things to keep lever throw within check: decreased pad clearance or much lower leverage ratio in the early portion of lever throw in order to quickly advance the pads at first. He's not just some random YouTuber. He's a damn good rider and an engineer who's worked in the industry. I don't buy the double rotor thing as being responsible for the lever force. Sounds to me like that's to get all 4 pistons advanced evenly and to condition the piston seals. Hayes told me to do something similar with the pad spacer (insert spacer after installing pads, pull and hold lever for 15+ sec). Did I miss it? Has someone already posted about the HP Canyon prototype? Looks to be a split pivot, which only makes sense (to me) to get around I-Tracks patent. Why would they have to worry about that for a prototype?

You 100% could. Hard to say what it would do the kinematics without doing some real numbers. With VPP could likely correct it with at least one or two links if it did something funny. Could look something like this… blue is hp black is lp.
