As a V1 owner, they can redesign the shock tunnel and linkage like the V2 Druid so it doesn't eat rocks and crack itself. I'm just glad there's experienced guys locally that can repair carbon fibre holes. Better frame storage and polishing up the little "newer bike company" type design issues would be amazing. If it's a bigger version of the V2 Druid, I think it would hit everything that needs to be done.

First and foremost, there have already been a ton of great contribution, I love getting to hear other riders experiences and insights, especially on a topic that despite being around forever, seems to be having a refined resurgence. Okay, now we can strap in for a bunch of word vomit. TLDR: High pivots are great for the right rider/terrain, static...

Great question! The tough thing about chainstay length is that there are very different camps on this topic, even within people of a certain height. I'm a tall person who swears by long chainstays, but lots of tall people hate them. So while it makes sense to have size specific chainstays so RC grows proportionately with FC, if they're not adjustable, your CS number's still not going to please everyone. As far as I see it, there are three options for frame manufacturers: 1. Adjustable chainstays with a big range of adjustment. Think of the outgoing Kona Process X, where...

Haven’t seen this posted anywhere yet, but I came across it on Instagram. Looks like ND Tuned is prototyping a 38mm stanchion fork, with a less than conventional construction of the lowers as well? Anyone know any details?

That is the current live shock. See where the wire plugs in where the yellow arrow is. Next version that is in RAD phase looks considerably different

Does anyone remember Paul Astons experience with DVO? Jesus that fork was worse than an entry level Suntour, who make and assemble everything for DVO. DVO blamed all the issues on Covid and them not been able to get to Taiwan to over see assembly. Well what was happening in the years before Covid when the product was still hit or miss? Hell the damper seal head has been crap and sticky since the Diamond. Oh BTW what you need is a 38mm fork.....

From the associated interview: " What sets my bike apart from all others is the purple twin tube adjustable coil shock. This is something I was super excited to develop with Cornelius (Intend) as part of my master thesis. It didn’t make it to production though so now I am riding the only one of its kind and us it as the perfect suspension development platform." https://trickstuff.de/rides-of-trickstuff-episode-8/

Not all "poppets" are equal. You can design a valve to fit the same space, that resembles a poppet valve but isn't digressive to the same degree as an X2 or CCDB shock. See the cone valve/spool valve discussion a few pages back. The design of the main piston makes a difference too - a large, solid (or close to) piston driving a ton of oil will tend more towards digressive, but a smaller piston with progressive opening shims will be more linear. Either way, you can make different valves with wildly varying damping rates, and for different reasons so...

RAAW retrofit kit to upgrade Jib and Madonna to make there bikes compatible with the new standard. I like this about RAAW, not making you buy a new bike to upgrade to a new standard but just selling the part to be able to upgrade it if you want, I think this is a good way to develop brand loyalty. https://raawmtb.com/en-ca/collections/parts/products/seatstay-udh
