3/14/2024 7:42am Looks an awful lot like a 15mm axle too. I'd say the barrier for entry for DC-ing your enduro is the sheer amount of fucking around for what for most people would be an experiment. A DC enduro that doesn't require any new parts will probably print money. Might even slap one on my torque for laughs.

3/12/2024 5:22pm WP already did the Boltron for Magura. A real shame they marketed it as ebike only. There was one in the Magura UK office… i’d love to have tried it as it looked pretty decent.

3/11/2024 3:37pm The 2025 Fox GripX2 got wiped but I’m surprised it didn’t make a bigger splash. My bet is that the GripX2 will be more heavily damped and the GripX which is positioned as all mountain/trail will be a lighter damping tune. Really hoping they bring back a longer travel 36 fork.

3/10/2024 5:43pm Totally with you on the anti rise. I came of a 21’ sight onto a current range and the difference in control trying to approach a steep chute is enormous. Granted the range is lauded for particularly good braking but the sight just wanted to hit that eject button. I know that behaviour is similar to many other Horst bikes but doesn’t have to be, I believe the current strive is quite high in this respect.

3/8/2024 8:02pm Just got back from a day at Dyfi. This is the production-ready model, two were being tested by journalists in preparation for the official launch on the 12th. In person it’s absolutely striking and looks like nothing else out there. If the frame only price is reasonable then I’ve never been more tempted by a bike. (If anyone from Atherton bikes wants me to remove the photo I’m happy to, but as it’s been seen by upwards of 100 people today I’m sure it’s fine).

3/8/2024 8:19am That’s definitely a Motion Instruments cap with a Quarq decal - you can see the MI logo poking out on either side. Poor Jesse doesn’t even have Charger 3.1 yet. 😏

3/8/2024 8:18am https://www.blackmath.bike/ Besides being something totally unique, they mention Jo cable tourism. Where did this nomenclature actually come from?

3/8/2024 8:18am Sure looks like the Quarq logo on the air side of Jesse Melamed's fork. Pinkbike reported in November on a SRAM patent for an integrated version of the ShockWiz (https://m.pinkbike.com/news/sram-patent-shows-smarter-built-in-shockwiz…). Not sure if it's already been seen out and about.

3/3/2024 6:47pm Boxxer was 2.6ish kg, sure light enough, but a 2.3kg dc fork would be even better! The previous 36mm Dorado (not the newest 37mm one) is several grams under 3kg - i know, i have one mounted on the front of my bike!). Both are 20mm axles, i like it more than the 15mm standart, but 15mm is the norm in everything except for dh-bikes. If you don’t have a hub like Hope where you could switch just the end caps, then upgrading to such a fork would require a front wheel as well (or at least a hub). As...

3/3/2024 6:43pm Yeah, saw that article back then, totally forgot about it! The dc enduro fork market is a niche only MRP are enjoying till now (and may be RS as the Boxxer was lightish enough to pass onto some of the porkier enduro builds). But if more brands start making such forks, my guess is the 38mm sc forks would die off!
As stated earlier in this thread, i’d love for the sudden Manitou Mezzer’s 40% discount to be the explanation behind a next gen that has a dc-version, kinda like a modern dc Travis!
