5/26/2026 4:25pm G10 PRJCT is rolling out world cup grade front rotor guards. Pretty sweet product for crap conditions and will protect the caliper and rotor while tailgate shuttling etc. Just picked up a Fox 40/220 rotor model and the fit/finish is great. https://www.g10prjct.com/collections/rotor-guards

5/8/2026 8:45am I also recall a race (Bromont or MSA?) where Sam crashed during his run in the Specialized years and still was on the podium (may have even won?). Anyone else recall that? I remember the video vividly, was a turn right after a road crossing and he went off track into the trees. EDIT: Found it. It was Maribor in 2010 and he finished 5th. https://www.pinkbike.com/video/140561/

4/24/2026 8:57am People said the same about Poland, but it really cut up and turned into a great track. This will probably shape up to be one of the most interesting races in modern DH. A new country, with a level playing field in terms of pit setup, on a track with more flat corners and tight tree line choice will mean we could see some dark horses really shine here. An unexpected good result at the first race of the season could really jumpstart the rest of their season and a career. That's what we all want, a cool story. Loic...

3/26/2026 12:26pm This forum is to discuss anything related to the latest FOX 38 fork released in March, 2026. We will update the initial post as we conduct further testing. First Ride Review - 2027 Fox 38 Fork The 38 is revered by many as one of the best single-crown, gravity forks. Stout, stable, unwavering. It's a fork that lets you hit stuff hard with minimal consequence. Of course, popularity breeds critique. Some have found the 38 a bit stiff, inconsistent, and harsh at times. The changes that came in 2024, namely new bushings, bypass channels, and the Grip X2 damper, remedied...

3/18/2026 2:58pm Coming from the PNW and never seeing running water on a long ride in SoCal has been a real adjustment, and it means I have to carry way more water on my person, or spend a lot of time looking at maps to figure out where all the stores and water fountains are, or both. I miss creeks. And shade. And overcast days. Don't ever leave. Stay there as long as you can, Cam. AS LONG AS YOU CAN.

3/18/2026 11:15am The collapsible filter method has been my go-to for long rides in the PNW (always a creek nearby). The Katadyn befree filters are great. I like to use the befree replacement filter tops with a smaller (16oz) collapsible Hydrapak bottle. They use the same thread pitch and the small form factor allows you to stow the filter system in your...

2/12/2026 2:27pm Hello brake nerds. I subjected my partner and best friend to a year of brake swaps to get their opinions. We made a low production value video talking about our thoughts. I would also like to contribute some brake info because I actually took the time to disassemble and measure the master cylinder diameters. Really interesting how different the Lewis and Hayes feel with identical hydraulic specs. Lever geometry, leverage curve, return spring rate, seal friction, and pad compound all add up. Also I feel like formula would make a few running changes and be competing with the top dogs...

12/22/2025 12:00pm The DH casing HR3 has a different sidewall from the other Maxxis DH tires. The sidewall has a thicker layer of rubber near the bead that can be easily felt by hand when the tire is deflated. I haven't seen any marketing or info from Maxxis about the differences though which makes me think they're cooking up a different/better option...

10/14/2025 8:13am Apparently I opened an angry can of worms with my original comment... But just so it's clear: he missed finals in Loudenvielle because of wheel failures in both Q1 and Q2. I know riders break stuff, and some tracks are worse than others, but that just seems like a completely unacceptable mechanicals rate on that track in particular. All I'm saying is his team should spend a considerable amount of the off season testing proto compounds/inserts/rims/glue/blowtorches/tubular tech so they would have a consistent podium rider.

10/13/2025 7:55pm Ok here is my unified semi-conspiracy theory that explains the proto V10, Jackson Goldstone's bike weights, the mysterious lack of a Specialized Enduro, the development journey of the Demo, lagging enduro enthusiasm from bike companies in general, and even the Orbea Rallon. Manufacturers think that e-bikes are the future and are orienting themselves toward dedicating a majority of their efforts toward producing them. They have the following assumptions about e-bikes: -E-bikes have shown that the weight of the motor under the bottom bracket can actually play a positive role in how a bike handles. It drives the front tire into...
