cameron.hoefer Added a reply to New Santa Cruz Prototype Grips
8/10/2021 8:28am The original picture are not the Burgtec Bartender Pro. The Bartender Pro grip (my favorite grip) has larger "fins" than the one pictured and likely a bigger diameter, but diameter is hard to tell from a picture. Maybe they're the original Bartender grip? 6/10/2021 7:59pm Running the Spank Spike 800 Race Riser Bar - 800mm x 50mm Rise x 31.8 Clamp. Nothing special but they feel good and come in a lot of different rises.

6/10/2021 3:24pm I'm 6'3" on a current gen S5 Enduro. I run a 40mm stem, 780 width bar w/ 50mm rise. Have about 25mm of spacers under the stem as well.

2/10/2021 4:26pm I think Scott did this when they were prototyping the new gambler, obviously never made production. 36T front chainwheels and ridiculous speeds mean pedal kickback is a moot point now. The proto must have had a higher pivot point I'm presuming to require the upper idler, but if you have ever ridden a supreme, it's a very surreal feeling having the rear end grow on compression, I personally love the confidence it inspires when hitting sketchy shit.

10/2/2020 9:41am I think the point is, you don't want to compromise those factors just to go with a mullet setup as the overall handling will suffer. To recognize the marginal benefits of a mullet setup, it needs to be done correctly. I'd suggest looking at a bike designed to be mullet'd - these are a great deal: https://www.commencalusa.com/supreme-dh-27-29-race-2021-c2x31920312

Could very well be. Using damping for bottom out control can be speed sensitive rather than using the spring which is only position sensitive.

9/2/2017 12:01am He's the hero Mountain Biking deserves, but not the one it needs right now, so we'll hunt him. Because he can take it, because he's not a hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector, Charlie Sponsel

6/1/2017 9:59am In muddy conditions, I think the amount of mud the cooling fins collect negates the benefits of what the fins could/should do.

cameron.hoefer Added a comment about product review Tailgate Pad
10/28/2015 11:30am I disagree with the design of this pad as well. It seems to lack padding right where the downtube of a bike rests on the tailgate, just above where the downtube straps are. This is the one spot that should have the most padding. I've tried rotating the pad on my tailgate to make up for this, but then the bike separating foam blocks and straps aren't in the right position to secure the bike. As for downtube wear, that's to be expected - it's happened with every tailgate pad ever. You just need to pick up some adhesive protection...
