That one may be a homemade version, but a company called Radar Laboratories has been selling these under the name "Loob Toob" for some years. And yes, it's a combination syringe/brush intended to make grease application faster & cleaner than a traditional tub & brush.
that actually does look like the radar lab version, i think what is throwing is off is that its filled with a dark grease / lube
May well be -- wasn't sure without seeing a label.
Why would one grease loctite...or in this case the PTFE tape that's been applied to the threads?
I like the applicator however. I wonder if it fits the bleed syringes that various brake manufacturers sell.
i am going of the distinct shape of the plunger flange / plunger, barrel flange, and tip configuration.
Radar Laboratories Loobtoob. They are great, I use them for various greases and bleeding brakes with an assortment of 3d printed fittings. I have been using the same ones for 4 seasons now, virtually indestructible.
To make your BB absolutely creak free, Australian mechanic bee_kay77 made this method ”popular”.
He’s a good follow!
Looks like radar labs make some nice bleed syringes for a reasonable price too...

Huh, I do this but put the tape on the threads of the cups instead of the bb shell because it's easier to put on, I wonder if it makes a difference?
