CNC alloy lug bonded to alloy tubes makes so much sense for small frame builder. Can build around easily available tubes, bond joint be slightly away from high stress area and custom geometry should still be possible if desired depending on design. Really excited to see where this could go in the next 3-5 years.

I haven't seen this photo of the FrameWorks lugged bike. The lines and flow of this frame look amazing.

I would bet significant amount of money that you overestimate how much steering lock you apply at any speed above 10Km/h

More steering lock means more stoppie nose pivot turns!

Regarding gearboxes, with the Pionion it's known you have to let up on the pedals to release the shift mechanism. On their end of line check in the factory apparently they shift under full power, but drive the shifting mechanism with a big motor. So the design/parts take it, you're just not strong enough with the gripshift to shift it. I think the electronic shifting mechanism improves in this. This works on some non-dual crown forks too. Pull the lowers- rotate 180, re-assemble.

The full 200mm. Static geometry is a bit wild. The HTA is below 62⁰. However, im running ≈45-50mm of sag (25%) so the dynamic geometry still feels normal. I'm using all 6 volume reducers for bottom out support. Its kind of a weird set up, but it feels really nice.

Steering angle if anyone cares:

If you want a shorter offset on your dual crown fork, you can always just flip the crowns backwards and re-install the stanchions (assuming your crowns have offset). I run a 56mm offset boxxer on my Spire with backwards crowns. This reduces the offset to 36mm. The turning radius is just enough to not notice. I also had to make sure my tire wouldn't hit the frame before bottom out since the reduced offset brings it closer to the down tube.

The 29 and 27.5 crowns on the newest 38mm Boxxer are interchangeable. I've got a 29er 38mm Boxxer setup with 44mm offset crowns and reduced down to 190mm travel on my enduro bike. Pretty sweet setup, but a bit heavier than a single crown fork (can't say I noticed that). Also, only 8mm longer axle to crown than the 170mm 38 it replaced!

Another thing about dual crowns on enduro bikes is that modern 29” DH forks typically have pretty whack fork offset numbers, often 50mm+. For instance, the old 40's from 2019 were 58mm!! Would be cool if Formula offers this fork with a 44mm industry standard enduro offset. They could even offer it in 44 and 51mm offsets to match what's available for single crown forks.

Looks an awful lot like a 15mm axle too. I'd say the barrier for entry for DC-ing your enduro is the sheer amount of fucking around for what for most people would be an experiment. A DC enduro that doesn't require any new parts will probably print money. Might even slap one on my torque for laughs.

WP already did the Boltron for Magura. A real shame they marketed it as ebike only. There was one in the Magura UK office… i’d love to have tried it as it looked pretty decent.

Spoken like someone who’s never had to “declaw” their fingers after multiple Dirt Merchant to A-Line runs… There are just some instances where you don’t want your brake levers to feel like a clapped out 80s ATV...

The 2025 Fox GripX2 got wiped but I’m surprised it didn’t make a bigger splash. My bet is that the GripX2 will be more heavily damped and the GripX which is positioned as all mountain/trail will be a lighter damping tune. Really hoping they bring back a longer travel 36 fork.
